Mazda RX-7 (FD) with F20C Honda Engine Swap & Widebody Kit!

Every tuning fan knows how popular engine swaps became. No matter whether in the VAG scene, in the JDM scene or with US cars, the supreme discipline of tuning should not be missing in many vehicles. That's what the Irish tuner Alvi thought too, who built the legendary Wankel sports car Mazda RX-7 into a racing car with a Honda F20C petrol engine. We would like to introduce you to this vehicle, which is based on the green island of Ireland.

Widebody kit from Rocket Bunny

Painted in the Honda Formula Red color that was available as standard on the first generation Honda NSX, the one-off features Rocket Bunny fender flares and Rocket Bunny side skirts. For this he got RX-7 a new front bumper and headlights, a giant carbon fiber rear wing by Japspeed with powder-coated custom brackets, and a roof spoiler from Mazda's OEM shelf. adjustable thread springs BC Racing, a bespoke hydraulic power steering pump and custom front suspension are other highlights of the project. The vehicle also features multi-piece 1-inch SSR Professor TF18 rims fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 245/35 on the steering axle and 285/35 on the drive axle.

There were major modifications in the interior!

Immediately after boarding, it becomes clear that the analog instruments of the RX-7 had to give way. Digital instruments from a Honda S2000 now take their place. There will be one more dished Nardi steering wheel as well as additional instruments for oil and boost pressure.

Engine from the Honda S2000 does its job

Even more incredible than the fact that im RX-7 a turbocharged V-TECMotor Inside the Honda S2000 is the fact that the RX-7 was shipped from Ireland to Lithuania. And that's just to get there from HondaTuning.lt get the engine swap including turbocharging and other modifications. But the result is impressive, because now there is a maximum of 403 BHP of power and the engine even rotates up to 9.200 rpm. The transmission also comes from a Honda S2000. It's a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Unfortunately, we have no information on the performance and top speed.

Our conclusion:

  • The project is hard to beat in terms of effort and that is why it is so impressive. We applaud tuners Alvi from Ireland and HondaTuning.lt from Lithuania for the masterly performance. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
