The factory Mazda RX-7 (FD / FD3S) was an absolute eye-catcher. The absolute highlight, of course, is the turbocharged 13B REW rotary engine, which in the final stage of development sends a whopping 206 kW (280 PS) and 314 NM to the rear wheels, enabling performance at the Porsche 911 level. There was a strong brake system and chic bucket seats inside. In the year 1996 however the valid new emission regulations in this country made a resale as new cars impossible. And in the rest of the world, the RX-7 with twin disc rotary engine remained an expensive exotic. An RX-7 FD in its original condition with a comprehensible history and a stamped checkbook is certainly not a youngtimer bargain at the moment, but a candidate for an investment.
Not really suitable for this item is the recently on the side of the rim label Road Wheels was presented. The RX-7 FD has been changed extensively and has hardly anything to do with the series. The result is absolutely impressive and this vehicle is definitely a one-off. The absolute highlight is of course the extensive one Pandem rocketbunny tra-kyoto Body kit that provides a completely new look. At the front there was a new apron including a front spoiler and additional LED lights integrated into the bumper. And of course the striking flared fenders are also unmistakable.
But they can only be installed if the body is cut out over a large area with the result that retrofitting is no longer possible. The widenings come with attachments for the front bumper, for the front fenders and the side walls including sills. And also at the rear much has changed. There is a tremendous approach to the bumper in diffuser look and, moreover, a large duck-tail spoiler lip for the tailgate. The vehicle is then completely wrapped in a chic metallic blue and also sets some accents in black. An eye-catcher is the completely darkened taillight section as well as the marker lights and black are also the side windows and the rear window. In addition to the body kit but also definitely the wheelset is an absolute highlight on the RX7.
From Road Wheels There was the type SC20 which is installed in 18 × 9,5 inch front and fills the rear axle with huge 18 × 10,5 inches. Due to the extremely brutal lowering (further details are unfortunately unknown - most likely using Airride air suspension), the wheel set sits consistently and down to the last millimeter in the wheel arch and the RX-7 receives the extreme appearance. In all likelihood, a sports exhaust system has been installed, changes made to the interior or screwed to the performance of the engine. However, we have no further information. If we receive more details in a timely manner, there is of course an update for this report. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will get in touch immediately. We wish you a lot of fun watching the pictures.
