Can you seriously have the impression that a 675 PS & 700 NM strong McLaren 675LT with a V8 bi-turbo petrol engine is not enough and you simply need more power? After all, it goes to 2,9 km / h in just 100 seconds and a breathtaking 5 km / h after just another 200 seconds. The propulsion of the super sports car, which weighs only 1230 kg, is also only stopped at 330 km / h and whoever wants can even enjoy it openly in the 675LT Spider! But what if you get the feeling that something is wrong? There should actually be people who notice whether a vehicle accelerates to 2,9 km / h in 3,1 or 100 seconds ... Apparently that was also the case with the owner of this Mclaren 675 LT 3.8 Bi-Turbo, the McLaren a series performance of 675PS / 700Nm has promised. After the vehicle at the tuner Mcchip-DKR (Mechernich, North Rhine-Westphalia) However, it was put on a dynamometer, however, it turned out that the V8 only provides 636 PS & 629 NM torque which is certainly still within the scope of any legal tolerances but is still far from satisfactory for a vehicle in this price category.

One way to at least get back to the standard level is of course chip tuning and this is exactly the type of modification that was done on the rare 675LT. After installing the in-house Mcchip-DKR software and installing Mcpipes Sportkatdownpipe's, the engine now delivers a whopping 76PS & 81Nm more torque, which means that the 675LT now provides 712 PS & 710 NM with even more power than the factory specification promises . The tuner has not only produced the promised series condition, but has also been able to tease out a plus in performance, which certainly ensures that the 2,7 second mark in the sprint to 100 km/h can be broken and, in the best case, 7,5 should now also be possible - 7,7 seconds for the sprint to 200 km/h be possible. If we get more information about the modifications to the 675LT, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
