McLaren 720S with carbon body kit and up to 1.150 hp!

In the eyes of many it is superfluous to further modify a McLaren. Performance and looks are already so strong as standard that most see no need to buy such a vehicle tune. However, there are various Supercar tuning forgewho disagree entirely, and much Accessories and tuning parts for the sports cars of the British sports car manufacturer. These include, among others 1016 Industries, a tuning company from the USA, which has made the refinement of sports cars its flag. We would now like to present the company's latest project to you.

crazy carbon widebody kit

The reader must know that these are not just a few Carbon parts is that were screwed to the 720S, but that the entire body of the British super sports car was exchanged for that Full carbon body kit to install. For example, according to 1016 Industries CEO Peter Northrop, 34 kg weight saved, since the massive Sliding doors, which swing upwards, are now made of carbon fibers. The total weight savings is even insane 200 kg, considering all the modifications. But the weight saving is by no means the only change to the car, since it is, for example, Wide body kit also grew by 120 millimeters in width, and was able to increase the track width by 90 or 120 millimeters.

The standard Suspension by Eibach has been optimized for track and street use, which means that some modifications have been made to the set-up. Furthermore, the team from 1016 Industries added a fixed rear spoiler added, which should provide additional downforce at high speeds. Last but not least there was one Roof scoop installed, which does not work in the traditional sense to direct fresh air into the interior, but serves to optimize the flow on the body. At the same time, the cool roofscoop look is an eye-catcher.

A maximum of 1.150 hp is possible!

It's not like a standard McLaren 720S is weak. With an output of 720 hp and a sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,8 seconds, it is one of the fastest and most powerful super sports cars on the market. But that's not enough for the crew of 1016 Industries, because they managed to improve the performance of the Brit with the help of various modifications to the drive train up to 1.150 hp to heave. So far we have no precise information about the driving performance after the tuning, but the car should hardly know any opponents on the quarter mile or the motorway.

Our verdict on the McLaren 720S:

You have to be able to afford excess! For those who have the necessary change, this luxury toy is certainly the highest of feelings. We definitely give the 1016 Industries crew a thumbs up. If we get more information about the changes to the McLaren 720S, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. more pictures on AL13 Design + Technik Wheels

New pictures from 12.2022 show the 1016 Industries McLaren 720S on performance rims from the AL13 Wheels Design + Technik team (al13wheels). While the carbon fiber widebody kit is unchanged and the significant lowering can still be seen, the wheel set from the pictures above has been replaced. Specifically, the aluminum used is now the R130-109R type with aerodiscs, which can be ordered with a satin or highly polished Monaco Copper finish and rings.

Don't worry, of course that was far from being the case when it came to auto / auto tuning. Our magazine still has tens of thousands other tuning reports in stock. Do you want to see them all?
