The British high-end manufacturer McLaren has quickly established itself in the world of super sports cars. Today, the British cars are real contenders to Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini. And of course, various tuning options should not be missing. For example, Prior Design showed a new one Restyling kit (PD720R aerodynamic kit), which makes the McLaren 720S even more beefy and aggressive on the road. Prior Design (fortunately) doesn't go as wild as Mansory, but tries to integrate the tuning components as discreetly as possible on the car. Today we would like to introduce you to the kit and the presentation vehicle from Prior Design in more detail.

The Exterior color of the tuning company's test balloon may not necessarily be to everyone's taste, but it is always an eye-catcher. The body kit of the car consists of a Fiberglass front spoiler, a newly designed, even more aggressive looking bonnet made of fiberglass, and modified side skirts. Furthermore, Prior Design has given the racer a new, two-part one Fiberglass diffuser, which is supposed to generate powerful downforce. From our point of view, however, the highlights are the air intakes on the front fender, which are strongly reminiscent of a GT3 racing vehicle. along with the Fiberglass front hood they turn the already fighter-jet-like super sports car into an optical missile.
Last but not least, Prior Design also designed a matching one rear spoiler for the vehicle, which fits seamlessly into the lines of the Briton. However, the prices for this restyling kit are quite salty, since the front spoiler alone costs around €3.000. Let's continue with the air intakes made of fiberglass and the newly designed front fenders, which cost a good 3.300 euros. However, the most expensive element is the Fiberglass front hood, which is in the price list at a whopping €5.000, but is also a visual highlight. With the kit, the McLaren 720S is ready for the big show, but in our opinion it shouldn't necessarily be used on the race track.
The engine of the 720S remained unchanged!
Incidentally, the drive source in the 720 S is a V8 petrol engine with a displacement of 4 liters and biturbo charging. This results in a gigantic 720 hp and a tight maximum torque of 772 Newton meters. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via a sequential gearbox, and performance is breathtaking, with a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 2,8 seconds. The top speed of the British car is also an impressive 341 kilometers per hour.
Our verdict on the McLaren 720S from Prior Design:
In contrast to many daring and questionable restyling kits from various well-known tuners, from our point of view Prior Design has managed with this body kit to refine a super sports car from the automotive premier class, and not to make it worse. For this we give our thumbs up and pay tribute to the tuning company. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
