Crazy Part - the 2020 McLaren Elva Gulf theme by MSO

Luxury supercar maker McLaren Automotive celebrates today the premiere of the McLaren Elva Gulf Theme by MSO, a tribute to the renewed relationship between McLaren and the Gulf Oil brand and yet another example of how designs from McLaren racing history inspire today's customers of the brand. The unique McLaren roadster in the blue and orange Gulf colors will celebrate its world premiere at Goodwood SpeedWeek, a live closed camera that brings together the past, present and future of motorsport at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in the UK. McLaren and Gulf recently confirmed a new partnership that renews a historic connection between the two brands that began in the 1960s, a decade when both companies made their first forays into motorsport.

The Gulf branding appeared on McLaren's Can-Am, Formula 1968, and Indy vehicles from 1973 to 1. Two decades later, McLaren F1 GTRs from the GTC customer team wore the famous Golf livery in GT races around the world, including Le Mans. As part of the new partnership, McLaren Automotive customers will have the opportunity to order Gulf-style vehicles directly from MSO. These following vehicles are inspired by the famous exterior that was designed and produced by MSO before the new partnership was established. Recently, a McLaren Senna GTR LM in honor of the number 1 McLaren F24 GTR, which finished fourth in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans, was completed as one of five customer vehicles designed by MSO, to assert the dominance of the McLaren F1 to celebrate at this race.

The Elva follows the McLaren P1TM, McLaren Senna and Speedtail in the McLaren Ultimate Series. He combines McLaren's legacy with its present and future with a name and style that evokes the McLaren-Elva athletes of the 1960s. These were among the first sports cars designed and driven by Bruce McLaren and the company he founded, and the new Elva evokes the true spirit of driving pleasure symbolized by that era. In line with McLaren's ongoing commitment to super lightweight engineering, the new Ultimate Series roadster retains the lightweight philosophy of its predecessor and is at the forefront of automotive technology.

The body design of the windshield and roofless Elva, for example, includes an innovative Active Air Management System (AAMS), which creates a virtual hood over the perfectly integrated cockpit. The 815 hp and 800 Nm developed by the 4,0-liter V8 engine with twin turbocharging ensure that the Elva offers astonishing performance and an incredible level of driving pleasure. McLaren Elva receives an elaborate seal:

The Team of Topaz detailing shows his stylish way in the following video $ 1.690.000 vehicle With a paint protection film to cover and before to prepare. The super sports car without a roof and windshield (is now also available WITH a front window), which also likes to be called Motorbike on four wheels sees, gets a in the video Paint treatment and then a PPF paint protection film. Only then is it delivered to the customer. And there the on 399 limited edition athletes does not have a roof, the Topaz team had to take additional measures to prevent water or the chemicals used from getting into the interior and perhaps damaging the leather.

But why do you have to polish a brand new car at all? According to the video, there are many reasons for this. For example, transport, special preparation for a showroom or small defects in the paintwork. Those who are perfectionists see these little things. And also the process for that paint protection film is extremely complex. It takes a lot of time and effort and starts with a computer sketch of the foil samples to get the exact shape and dimensions of the vehicle. It's a long, but very rewarding process. But see for yourself!
