McLaren GT Special Edition: a tribute to the past!

Attention, the latest special edition of the McLaren GT is here and it's a real blast. Inspired by the legendary P1 and F1 models, the British speedster brings the past back to the road. First about the colors: McLaren has outdone itself. They have released four special small series models of the GT, but unfortunately these are only intended for our British friends. Each of the vehicles has its own special color and interior materials. And now comes the highlight: there are only two of each vehicle. Yes, you heard right, only two! That makes a total eight of the beauties.

The paint finishes are of course not just simple colors. They tell stories from McLaren's past. The Cerulean Blue reminiscent of the P1 supercar, while the XP Green makes us think back to a prototype of the F1. The Sarigan Quartz was the star on the Speedtail XP2 and that Cyber Yellow? Well, this is a modern take on the classic Volcano Yellow. And to give it the finishing touch, McLaren added a silver and white glitter effect. Simply stunning, the mother-of-pearl paint!

Details that make the difference

But it's not just the colors that make the GT special. The MSO Black Pack gives the athlete that certain something. Shiny black ones Mirror covers, upper window moldings and Exhaust accents – everything looks really classy. And the roof and the wheels? Of course in the same, chic finish. And inside the super sports car it becomes even more luxurious. The Diamond pattern stitching Matches the exterior color perfectly and that MSO logo on the headrests as well as the embossed Union Jack flag on the armrests and the Keyrings are the icing on the cake.

Under the hood

But now to what drives the GT. There is one under the hood Biturbo 4,0 liter V8 engine. With a whopping 620 HP and a torque of 630 NM, the car is a real beast. And thanks to the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, it accelerates in just 3,2 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. And the adaptive suspension? This ensures that you can still enjoy comfort even at top speed.
