Revealed these days McLaren Special Operations (MSO) the brand new Speedtail Albert by MSO, a vehicle sold by the US dealer McLaren Beverly Hills was commissioned, and can now be seen for the first time for the general public. The vehicle called "Albert" is one of the last Speedtail models to be produced, which only ３０ minutes and are therefore extremely exclusive and have great potential for appreciation. The name "Albert" was chosen for the vehicle because of the Albert Park building where the legendary McLaren F1 was conceived and designed. This is located in Woking, England, the headquarters of McLaren, where the sports car manufacturer's exclusive supercars still roll off the assembly line today.
Hypercar with special paintwork
But now we are going to introduce you to the McLaren Speedtail Albert by MSO in more detail, because the exclusive one-off piece is one of the highlights of the still young history of the British luxury brand. A special feature of all Speedtail models is the seating concept. Three people can take a seat in the front, while the driver is positioned in the middle, and can therefore easily cope with both left and right-hand traffic.
The view is through 360 degree cameras improved, but we imagine it takes getting used to as the driver to take a seat in the middle. The seating concept was already used in the legendary McLaren F1, on which the new Speedtail is strongly based. The painting process takes believe it or not six weeks, and the entire vehicle needs to be disassembled before painting, meticulously reaching every millimeter with paint. The front is in the same shade Ueno Gray, and the stern and the flanks in Magnesium Silver painted, and the very special paintwork pays homage to the first prototypes of the McLaren F1, which also completed their test laps under the name "Albert".
Of course, the usual ones are also allowed scissor doors not missing, which characterize every model of the British, and the stern is more reminiscent of a luxury yacht than a road vehicle. But the teardrop shape is extremely aerodynamic and helps the British super sports car to achieve exceptional performance with tolerable fuel consumption.
4-liter V8 hybrid drive provides propulsion
At first it is hard to believe, but the Speedtail Albert by MSO is electrified and, thanks to e-support and two turbochargers, does a breathtaking job from 1.070 HP. There are also huge ones 1.150 Newtonmeter maximum torque. With these performance data, the technological wonder accelerates to inhuman ones 402 km / h, making the Speedtail Albert by MSO the fastest McLaren of all time.
The 100 km / h mark is in under three seconds cracked, and the power transmission takes place via a sequential Seven-speed gearbox. The empty weight of the hypercar is only 1.430 kg, making an incredible power to weight ratio from 1,34 kg / hp arises. This makes the Speedtail Albert by MSO one of the absolute kings in this discipline. Due to the width of over 2 meters, the car is not necessarily a corner robber, but a perfect highway glider, with which you can take things extremely quickly if necessary.
