Around six months after its unveiling, the first happy customers have now received their copy of the new A 45 4MATIC or A 45 S 4MATIC + based on the W177 series. Most of them should have successfully completed the entry program since then and are now looking forward to the upcoming cold winter days at the start of the year. Maybe this is the right time to try out the new drift fashion? Or are you already planning ahead for spring or summer and thinking about optimizing the compact sports car? As the first tuner worldwide, RENNtech, AMG specialist based in Florida, USA and in Meuspath, not far from the Nürburgring, has been offering a solid range of sensible technical changes for the latest generation of the AMG A 1989 shortly after delivery has started. For the M45 engine in the bow, the world's most powerful 139-liter turbocharger, an increase in output to 2,0 hp and 475 Nm is currently being tested.
Power levels with 550 & 600 PS follow
RENNtech achieves this increase by means of a software intervention and it can be purchased from mid-January - optionally also with a TÜV report that is currently being prepared. A modified diverter valve is already available, which is typical for the “Blow-off sound"Cares. Further power levels with 550 and 600 hp are to follow in the course of the first quarter of 2020. In addition to the software adaptation, you then need further modifications, such as a modified turbocharger or a suitable exhaust system. An optional downpipe with sports catalytic converter will also follow in spring and can be ordered from the end of February. Last but not least, RENNtech is working on a TÜV-tested exhaust system from the original catalytic converter or particle filter, which will provide a soundscape worthy of the compact athlete. An excellent addition, which is already available and also fits the factory exhaust system, is a flap control with remote control, which allows the exhaust flap to be fully opened in all driving modes on the racetrack.

Rounding off, RENNtech also enables optical finishing with in-house alloy wheels in 19 or 20 inches. They can be ordered in two versions, a cast wheel and a forged wheel. The latter is an independent version designed by RENNtech, which is manufactured exclusively by the renowned US manufacturer VOSSEN. The pictures shown show the 20-inch version of the RENNtech Performance Series RPS 10.2 wheels - including the so-called “infinity option”, a painted outer ring as desired. A suitable lowering spring set including changed spring rates is also available immediately.
