The Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC (W205 series), available as a convertible, coupé, sedan and T-model (station wagon), is one of the most popular models in the current Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The chassis manufacturer has developed height-adjustable spring sets for all four variants. In contrast to the standard springs, the springs have threaded sleeves. In conjunction with the standard dampers, these sleeves create the option of continuously adjustable lowering. As part of the parts certificate, the height can be freely selected between 5 and 35 millimeters, depending on the body structure. The height-adjustable KW springs with their slip-on threaded sleeves are available for the Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC models with and without adaptive damper control. The recommended retail price is 799 euros.

The height-adjustable KW spring sets were only available for classic sports cars and super sports cars some time ago. In the past few years, the chassis manufacturer KW automotive has developed its springs, also known as threaded spring sets, for more and more compact and mid-range models. In addition to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205 series) with rear-wheel drive, the height-adjustable springs are now available for all Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC models. "Our coil springs can best be described in such a way that when they are installed, a series chassis takes on the function of a coilover chassis to a certain extent“, Says KW Brand Manager Jonas Ehrmann. "The desired lowering can be selected with millimeter precision using the threaded sleeves. This is especially interesting for those who are more interested in an optical upgrade than in a dramatic increase in driving comfort and driving dynamics."
While the height-adjustable KW springs offered for 799 euros can lower the Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC Coupé, T-Model and the sedan on the front axle 5 - 30 millimeters and on the rear axle 5 - 35 millimeters, the parts certificate in Cabriolet a different lowering range. Due to the body structure of the open C-Class, a continuously adjustable depth of 10 - 35 millimeters on the front axle and 5 - 35 millimeters on the rear axle is possible. The KW dust protection elements and additional KW elastomer spring elements included in the scope of delivery are always adapted to the greatest possible lowering with the threaded spring set. With the height-adjustable KW springs, a sporty, harmonious driving behavior can be achieved without the driving dynamics suffered in performance-oriented vehicles such as the Mercedes-AMG C43.
In addition to the height-adjustable springs, KW automotive has also developed a KW coilover kit made of stainless steel for all Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC. Variant 3, like the OEM chassis developed by KW automotive for the Mercedes-AMG Black Series models such as the 517 hp C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series, has separately adjustable dampers in compression and rebound. The KW coilover kit variant 3 also allows a greater lowering than a spring set as part of the parts certificate and also ensures significantly increased driving dynamics in the Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC.
