Occasionally it happens that the top version of a certain model is only available in the closed version, but not as a convertible. This is the case, for example, with the Black Series models from Mercedes-AMG. Whoever wants to understand that, but fortunately there are tuning companies that are open to it Mercedes AMG GT Roadster accept to bring him close to the Black-Series. Just like the Hamburg tuning company SR Tuning did, which created a special gem out of a Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster, which we are presenting to you today.
Body kit causes a stir!
A complete bodykit installed in the style of the Black Series, which consists of Mercedes original parts consists. These include one bonnet, a front apron with pull-out splitter, a Underrun protection, modified fender, Sill panels and the rear apron. All components are made of full carbon to come as close as possible to a real Black Series. That's what they became Hatchback and the rear wing installed by the AMG GT R. Keep worrying KW coil springs for more proximity to the asphalt and improved cornering. The elegant rims do not come from Mercedes, but from the tuner Yido performance.
The Beer measure 10,5×20 at the front and 12,5×21 at the back, with the raised ones Tires from Michelin in the format 275/30 ZR20 on the front axle and 325/25 ZR21 on the drive axle. With the matt black finish and the multi-spoke look, they harmonize perfectly with the orange tone of the foiling in the style of the AMG color Magmabeam. Incidentally, the foiling comes from fostla.de and gives the AMG a very special character. The tuner gave the dashing AMG another one for a good engine sound Black Series sports exhaust system.
In the interior, almost everything remained standard!
SR Tuning thought it was not necessary to make major modifications to the cockpit. Only air vents in a turbine look with ambient lighting found their way into the Affalterbach athletes. But we had enough 850 PS in the bow entry! The well-known 4-liter V8 AMG petrol engine with biturbo charging drives the fast Swabian. By a Stage 3 performance upgrade with TTH880 upgrade turbochargers, downpipe and various Black Series components, the Hamburg tuning company elicits plenty from the star warrior 850 PS and 1.000 Newtonmeter maximum torque. Equipped in this way, the AMG GT C Roadster sprints up to an electronically limited 330 kilometers per hour. The power transmission takes place via an adapted AMG Speedshift transmission with seven gears, whose transmission software has been optimized in terms of shift times and torque limitation. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, but ideally it should take just under three seconds.
Our verdict on the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster:
Can't do it, doesn't exist! After AMG does not have an open Black Series model at the start, SR Tuning thought that they would fulfill their own dream of the Black Series Roadster and created this dreamlike one-of-a-kind.
