Piecha Design has finished! At the beginning of June we have one Preview given a first look at what the tuner from Rottweil is planning to do with the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. In the meantime, the E-Class, a SL the C207 convertible and the W176 A-class revised and then it went on with the AMG GT high-flyer from Stuttgart. New name of the whole -> "Mercedes-Benz AMG GT RSR“And it is precisely this AMG RSR that can enjoy a lot of extensive, but still more subtle, changes to the body and engine. The new carbon body kit, which consists of an air splitter and subtle front cup wings, cannot be overlooked. A large rear wing made of carbon with GT-RSR lettering, on the other hand, dominates the completely changed rear, which has received a new rear apron with integrated side air ducts in a completely new design. The original brake wing was also exchanged and replaced with a narrower version.

But do not worry, even for customers with a fixed Edition 1 rear wing there is a suitable variant in which the wing cover cannot be extended, instead it is firmly screwed into the trunk lid. Incidentally, as with the new side skirts, Piecha relies on LED technology for correspondingly good illumination for the diffuser. While the lighting on the diffuser is intended for reversing, the 5 LED lights of the completely new, two-part sill unit including carbon boards, with sufficient brightness next to the vehicle, should make it easier to get in at night. A nice side effect is that an open air duct to the rear wheel could be realized through the new sills. The much more aggressive look naturally calls for more power.
For this chapter, the team of Performmaster GmbH We took advice and the result was a full 612PS and a much fuller 840NM torque which ensure that the AMG RSR sprints from 3,7-0km / h in just 100 seconds and only finishes at 330km / h. So that the 330km / h can be reached safely and legally, the tuners, with YOKOHAMA Tires Germany, developed a wider wheel / tire combination with the appropriate approval. In addition, 13 mm spacers were installed on each side to allow the wheels to stand even more firmly in the wheel arch. Particularly important for interested parties is the information that the entire conversion kit will be available on 01.09. from the GTÜ in many test runs, and in all imaginable versions (with & without front cup wings, with & without rear wings, etc.) to the phenomenal top speed, has been extensively checked and tested.
Aerodynamic package - RSR
The very high requirements of the KBA for issuing a corresponding parts certificate have all been met without any problems and thus the whole thing has its official blessing. The Piecha Design team released the AMG GT yesterday and we are of course pleased to be able to show you the first pictures of it. After the comprehensive and very coherent tuning cure that the GT was allowed to endure, it is now visually significantly changed, more individual and more dynamic than the production version, without being too exaggerated, everything fits perfectly as we think. So if you have been secretly thinking of buying an AMG GT for a long time, or if you are already a happy owner, Piecha Design & Performmaster is definitely an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model.
