When it was presented in 1982, it ushered in a new era for the manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, which until then had only been represented in the luxury segment. The 190, too Baby Benz called, was initially ridiculed, but developed into a worldwide bestseller. The star on the bonnet was made accessible to many people who would never have dreamed of having a Mercedes in their garage before. While the basic versions of the Baby Benz were extremely spartan and motorized with little power, there were also higher-quality equipment and features more powerful engines, which underlined the premium claim that the new middle class had despite the lower price and compact dimensions.

Classic with contemporary tuning!

Auch Tuning The 190 E is still no stranger to this day, and so we are now introducing you to a model that does its rounds in Brazil, more precisely in Sao Paulo, and from its owner Nathan Neto has been modified discreetly and professionally. Tuner Nathan, who has nothing to do with tuning full-time, has already created various projects for various brands in his free time. Among other things, a GM Corsa pickup, a VW Gol G1, a Ford Fusion or a VW Beetle.

The Mercedes 190 E shares the garage with the Beetle and the Gol G1. The project was completed in 2020, and includes, among other things, a Airride chassis by Castor Suspensoes, to be much closer to the asphalt and to achieve a sportier look. To keep the classic and contemporary look, were PDW Monoblock III rims mounted on the vehicle in 18-inch format to which Tires in the format 215 / 35 R18 are raised. Another modification to the car is the one that was added later rear spoilerthat of a 190E Cosworth, the racing version of the Baby Benz, which played a key role in the opening of the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit in 1984.

This spoiler also looks great on the specimen we have presented, and only the one that is more popular in South America Fake license plate, which in this case looks like a German license plate, looks a bit strange from our point of view. Otherwise, the Benz can definitely be seen, and it would also find its fans in Europe at an open-brand tuning meeting.

In the interior, almost everything remained standard.

Just like externally, no great hand was put into the interior either. There were only Loudspeakers built into the rear shelf to enjoy better sound in the car.

2,3 liter suction gasoline engine with four cylinders

The engine of the classic Benz generates sufficient capacity from 2,3 liters 136 PS and 200 Newtonmeter maximum torque. These were remarkable figures for that time. The classic Swabian sprints up to 200 km / h and can also keep up with modern automobiles when it comes to sprinting ability.

Our Conclusion for the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.3:

A cultural asset worth preserving, which was refined by tuner Nathan Neto from Sao Paulo. The specimen is a good example of that contemporary tuning not after fair booth must look like, and in our opinion, many tuners of classic automobiles should take this as an example.
