With the third generation of the V-Class (the second generation was called Viano - type W639), in terms of appearance and design, Mercedes has made the leap to the same level as the successful VW T6 bus. The current Vito has been available to buy since 2014 and the choice of engines is quite extensive, although only four-cylinder diesel engines are still available. And if a car becomes more popular, the demand for individualization for this type will of course also increase. This is also the case with the current vehicle, a Mercedes V220 CDI with standard 170 HP and 400 NM. The owner wanted to give the V-Class a few extra horsepower and brought the vehicle to ShifTech Tours in France.
Chip tuning by Shiftech
The tuner gave the 220 CDI a chip tuning that increased the performance by 54 HP & 149 NM to a whopping 224 HP and 549 NM. Equipped in this way, the 220 CDi even outperforms the larger V250 BlueTec 4 Matic, which has been available to buy since February 2015. Only the lack of all-wheel drive is likely to be a certain disadvantage compared to the V250. There isn't much more to say about the car, so we'll leave it with the photo story for now.
