1991 Mercedes G-Class as 2022 250GD Wolf by EMC!

For several years, the trend of the so-called Restomods on. They are extremely popular and more and more companies are entering the classic vehicle business. And one such company is also that Expedition Motor Company from the United States. However, the team has been firmly established in the segment for years and is certainly no longer a newcomer. And one of the last project vehicles is this one Mercedes-Benz G-Class Cabriolet from 1991. The so-called 2022 250GD Wolf has been a mix of classic off-roader and modern technology since the conversion. And it's available now, starting at $160.000. One of the highlights compared to EMC's previous G-class based restomods is the fact that another Transmission Upgrade is used.

G-Class as Restomod

The G-Class is now also included automatic transmission to have. Optionally, the 250GD Wolf can also be equipped with the standard Five-speed manual or an optional one Five-speed 722.6 automatic can be ordered from a Mercedes S-Class. The indestructible is coupled to the gearbox In-line five-cylinder diesel engine of type OM602 and then there are the small modern details. A set is installed for this Cup holder, which sit in front of the shift lever and, as with all Restomods of the G-Class from EMC, are also heated Front and rear seats included. According to Expedition Motor Company, the vehicle took more than 1.400 hours of work and it all started with the complete Disassembly from the vehicle to the last nut and bolt. Not visible, but there are some new ones fuel and brake lines and also the body mounts are new.

In addition, the axles, the calipers and the suspension completely rebuilt, the latter now using improved springs, shock absorbers and special polyurethane bushings. Further, each Restomod is based on the company's G-class with front and rear locking differentials fitted.
