Actually, we only report on vehicles that have received a tuning in some way and not on standard cars. What Mercedes is planning for this year, however, we absolutely have to present you because the Maybach G 650 Landaulet is just phenomenal as we think. As far as the body is concerned, the modified G-Class is miles away from the Maybach 62 Landaulet at the time, but the principle of opening the vehicle at the rear is the same and therefore the name is appropriate.
The G-Class is cut open in the rear part and also gets a super luxurious interior. As far as we know, the vehicle is based on the 500 4 × 4² and gets a 6l V12 biturbo from the G65, which probably brings it to 630 hp. So that the monster can even be climbed, Mercedes installs electric running boards as standard, which are only available as accessories for the G500 4 × 4². The massive fender flares all around are made of high-quality carbon fiber, etc.
In the back there are two luxurious leather seats with Maybach cushions and wide center cosoles and all that is good and expensive, such as two infotainment screens or a partition that is opaque at the touch of a button if desired. And all this including the option to see the open sky. Possibly the car celebrates its premiere this year and the prices are likely to start somewhere at 285.000 € and certainly crack the 300.000 € brand without any problems.
