As we know was the german tuner Prior-Design represented at the Essen Motor Show 2018 with a Mercedes X-Class (W470). And now we have the official pictures of the vehicle with the PD550 widebody aero kit. The kit consists of front and rear extensions and also includes a new front and rear bumper. If you only want the widening for the fenders, you can also purchase them individually as a PD400 aero kit. However, we find the variant with the new aprons that give the X-Class a little AMG look much more successful. The completely new front apron, whose air inlets were designed in the typical AMG style, played a major role in this.

Although the bumper comes without fog lights, but with a filigree and quite sporty spoiler lip. Of course, the main focus is on the front and rear widenings. The essays ensure a significant widening of the body and miss the X-Class a tremendous performance. The rear view of the W470 sets in scene with a new bumper without the factory chrome. There are sporty air vents right and left and who wants to order even a small Ducktail spoiler lip for the tailgate. And even in the area of the third brake light, a small spoiler lip has been installed on the roof.

Roof construction with 4 large LED light strips

But neither the small spoiler on the tailgate nor the roof can currently be ordered in Prior Design's online shop. We are therefore not sure if they are or will be part of the aerodynamic kit. The exhibition vehicle of the Food motor show is also covered in matt green and equipped with a roof structure including 4 large LED light strips. The widenings for the fenders, the grille, the spoiler lip or even parts of the aprons, on the other hand, are shiny black.

Elevation by means of H&R special springs

And also on the chassis, they have gotten bogged down. Here there was for a moderate elevation Spezialfedern from the house MR and also a set of new rims with coarse off-road tires. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
