Who doesn't know Michael Jordan! Or rather Michael Jeffrey Jordan. He is a former American basketball player who made his living after his career as an entrepreneur and majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets. But between 1984 and 2003 he played actively in the US professional league NBA, of which he remained loyal to the Chicago Bulls for 13 years. He later moved to the Washington Wizards. And in addition to its sporty characteristics, Jordan is also known for its particularly good vehicle taste. And one of his vehicles was auctioned a few days ago on Ebay.com under item number 224116792771. It was a fantastic Mercedes S600 Coupé in the color "Navy Deep Blue Metallic" (VIN: WDBGA76E7TA299670) of the model generation W140 (C 140) with the ultimate M 120 E 60 V12 engine. In combination with a pair of Air Jordan sneakers, the Jordan feeling is guaranteed.

And for a hardcore fan with a penchant for automotive extravagance, it was even worth $ 202.200,00. For this sum, the flagship was launched on August 23rd. And the 1996 Mercedes S600 Coupé from the former possession of the basketball king is even tuned! Namely from Sportservice Lorinser GmbH. The luxury liner also has a certain amount of television experience. It's the car from the Jordan documentary "The Last Dance" broadcast in early 2020. In the trailer you can see Jordan at the wheel of the S600! The S-Coupé (predecessor of the CL) with a free-sucking V12 with 6-liter displacement has a hefty 394 hp and 570 Nm of torque ex works. That is enough to accelerate the 2,2-ton colossus to 6,6 kilometers per hour in just 100 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km / h.

The 24,5 (!!!) liter consumption indicated in town shouldn't have really bothered Jordan. He even had enough gravel for a refinement. The extremely well-kept S600 got a Lorinser body kit with front and rear spoiler, there was a snappy 18-inch model, a thundering exhaust system for the V12 and additional chrome applications all around. The engine, however, remained untouched. There were also a few nice customizations in the interior. In addition to the usual Mercedes luxury range of the 90s (electric multicontour seats with memory, root wood, automatic climate control, electric rear blind, on-board computer, leather etc.) there was even an integrated car phone and letters that were darkened all around. If you activate the phone, the name of the six-time NBA champion appears on the screen!

And of course the name is also in the enclosed vehicle papers. And not only that one, even that of his wife at the time, can be seen. Incidentally, the Beverly Hills Car Club auctioned the Benz, as already mentioned, via the platform Ebay! And the Jordan argument apparently had a significant impact on the price. Because there are actually reasonably well-maintained vehicles for € 20.000 to € 30.000. But they don't have an NBA star as a previous owner.
