Slowly but surely, the Mercedes X-Class (W470) really gets going in terms of tuning. After already in November the German tuner PRIOR-DESIGN first virtual pictures of a Widebody Mercedes X-Class presented and the team of delta4x4 In January of this year, then their interpretation of the VW Amarok opponent is now the next tuner. The Polish team of Carlex Design published under the subsidiary Pickup-Design.com Yesterday the first pictures of a completely modified Mercedes X-Class and of course we would like to show them to you. The project is called "Mercedes X-Class Exy Urban“And differs like that VW Amarok Amy or the Toyota Hilux Hilly Limited Edition not only by modifications outside.

But we would like to start with the modified body. There is a newly designed front bumper including distinctive air openings and indicated underride protection that not only reminds of the current AMG models but also impresses with the widening on the right and left. These are necessary to enable a seamless transition to the matching fender flares and, as with the vehicles linked above, these are attached with exposed screw connections. The same applies to the widenings at the rear, which lead into a rear apron adapted to it. Incidentally, we find the attachment for the loading area particularly stylish, which looks much more elegant than the conventional roll bars from various third-party suppliers or the optional copy from Mercedes.
The presentation vehicle also got a striking foliation in the rear area with EXY lettering and also a set of new alloy wheels is one of them. Here are installed 21 inch large rims in matt black and who looks closely sees the yellow painted calipers that act wonderfully as a color touch. But we are not sure about any changes to the chassis. The pictures suggest that a discreet lowering is installed because the wheelset sits much fuller in the wheel arch than in the series. And anyone familiar with Carlex Design is well aware that the tuner specializes in refining vehicle interiors, so we can assume that the X-Class will also score with a completely redesigned cabin.

Finally, we would like to mention that the Mercedes X-Class Exy Urban will be limited and this vehicle is the number 1 of planned 999 pieces. now is the big-city Mercedes X-Class Exy URBAN Complete because Carlex Design also presented the images of the modified interior of the 999 limited edition edition. Two high-quality Recaro sports seats, which are definitely anything but usual in a pick-up, immediately catch your eye. The entire interior is upholstered in red leather and chic, for example, the many small details in the doors, on the steering wheel and even the shift lever. Everything shines with red leather and was color-contrasted with a white contrasting seam.
The interior is rounded off with plenty of carbon and so, for example, the newly designed leather steering wheel got carbon inserts on top and bottom and also the dashboard shines in chic carbon including Carlex design lettering. Right down to the individual floor mats, the interior of the X-Class is unique and of the highest quality and certainly no one will use this X-Class as a construction vehicle. And again the team of Pickupdesign.com completed a widebody version of the Mercedes EXY URBAN based on the X-Class. This time it is a copy in white that convinces with lots of shiny black painted components and of course the complete aerodynamic kit. And again, there was the 20 inch wheels in matte black equipped with Michelin Latitude Sport 3 tires. This tire is specially homologated for SUVs and installed in the format 265 / 30 R20. And this specimen has also received a foiling in the rear area and the Pickupdesign.com emblem on the tailgate and on the hub caps of the Alu's. No information is available regarding changes in the interior. Have fun with the new pictures!
