To be honest, we were far from convinced that Mercedes announced that it would launch a competitor to VW Amarok, Nissan Navara or Ford Ranger on the basis of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class. With a Nissan or Ford in the woods or on the construction site? absolutely! With a VW? Okay just so! But with a Mercedes? A vehicle that costs at least € 37.000 and can easily be trimmed towards € 50.000 with just a few extras? Never! But apparently Mercedes sees it differently and has officially launched the X-Class this month. And as if that wasn't enough, the tuner PRIOR-DESIGN has now considered tuning the Stuttgart pick-up. And to be honest, we really like this idea and the first drafts for it! PRIOR-DESIGN has planned two interpretations of the X-Class.

There is the PD500 WB Aero Kit including huge 22 inch wheels that will reach the lifestyle people and beyond there is still a PD400 WB kit. This comes in combination with 18 inch aluminum wheels and off-road tires and should rather fulfill the practical benefit. Off paved roads (in the forest, on construction sites, etc.) is the PD400 the Series 470 to be in his segment. He comes with a newly designed bow and a new front bumper spoiler lip. Visually, this makes the X-Class look even beefier because especially the large air intakes and the integrated LED daytime running lights attract attention. Anyone who wants to can be on the road without the obligatory Mercedes-Benz star in the radiator grille because PRIOR DESIGN built on request, the in-house logo. But even more fat is the PD500 WB pick-up kit. It comes with additional fender flares all around to ensure that the front and rear axles by well 60 millimeters wider.

And the rear has also been planned. PRIOR-Design developed a beefy rear apron with perfectly integrated tailpipe trims made of polished stainless steel. The wheel set already mentioned is a multi-part 22 inch forged wheels of type PD3. Almost common is the fact that the PRIOR-DESIGN aerodynamic parts are also available in full carbon, and of course this also applies to the components of the X-Class. If you want, you can tackle the chassis with lowering or raising kits and thus ensure even more off-road capability or dynamism. We are curious ... If we get details about further changes, there is of course an update for this story. You will be informed about the update when you get ours Feed subscribe to.
