The British traditional brand MG, which has now been in Chinese hands for over a decade and belongs to the auto giant SAIC, which also maintains joint ventures with Volkswagen and General Motors, is particularly popular with tuning friends in China. The models' youthful, sporty image ensures that a large number of young car buyers are interested in a MG. Even though there are no longer any sports cars from the brand these days, but only four-door models that serve every segment from the compact sedan to the SUV, the sporty image has remained and the practical components have been added to the benefit. The most popular model of the British-Chinese brand is the MG 6, which can be seen more and more frequently, like this one, which we are now introducing to you.
Black as far as the eye can see.
The first thing you notice on the MG 6 is of course the completely black body, which also goes well with the black radiator grille and blackened emblems. In addition, the headlights are so heavily tinted that there is a perfect symbiosis in glossy black, which would never be allowed in this country. As a complementary contrast, the Brembo brake callipers were kept in neon green, so that they immediately catch the eye. At the rear, too, everything was kept in black, and the taillights are also very heavily tinted. The 18-inch HRE rims, on the other hand, are not black, but gray, which, together with the neon green brake calipers mentioned above, creates a nice contrast. In addition to the standard small spoiler lip at the rear, the owner attached a rump spoiler to the rear, and the MG was lowered and provided with a discreet body kit, which consists of side skirts and a front spoiler lip as well as the already mentioned rump on the rear, consists. Larger exhaust pipes were also installed, which give the compact hatchback an even sportier touch. Especially at night, the MG's light design is an absolute eye-catcher, and this car, which does its laps in China, is very professionally tuned and would look good at any brand-open tuning meeting.
The interior has hardly been revised.
No major modifications were made to the already sporty interior, and the interior remained largely untouched except for the Savanini shift paddles. This means that every potential driver can easily find their way around this MG, and you won't be overwhelmed by an optical overkill, as is often the case with some tuned cars from China.
The MG was not changed in terms of engine technology.
The MG 6 only has a 1,5-liter turbo gasoline engine with 169 HP and 250 Newton meters of maximum torque. Since the engine remained untouched, this performance data also apply to this example. The power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The MG sprints from 0 to 100 in about 7,5 seconds and the top speed is 210 km / h. This would allow the MG to cut a fine figure on German motorways too, and 210 kilometers per hour is definitely sufficient for Chinese conditions because there are strict speed limits.
