500 PS - Ford F-150 Pickup from the tuner Mil-Spec Automotive!

We know the team from Mil-Spec Automotive actually only with converted and completely restored Hummer H1 vehicles. No matter if there is one classic, elegant off-road variant is or a 3 ton monster for the racetrack, nothing seems impossible for Mil-Spec Automotive. However, we have never seen Mil-Spec Parts on a vehicle outside of the Hummer (General Motors) brand. But that too is now a reality because the tuner from Birmingham (Michigan, USA) has a completely modified Ford F-150 in “Magnetic” gray (comes from the Mil-Spec H1 Launch Edition) presented with a mighty 500 hp. And the setup is - typically Mil-Spec - specially designed for off-road terrain. This expands the repertoire with a vehicle that is sold much more frequently, which consequently also enables a larger customer base.

To specialize exclusively in the rare H1 was a bit daring. The Mil-Spec Automotive Team insists that the F-150 "no“Raptor is. They didn't just want to recreate a vehicle, they wanted to create their own interpretation. That has succeeded - at least in part. Because converted F-150s for the outback are really not rare. Incidentally, the basis is an F-150 with 5.0 Ti-VCT V8 naturally aspirated, which normally delivers 390 PS & 525 Nm torque to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. With unspecified modifications, the Mil-Spec Automotive variant achieves a leap in performance to 500 hp and is even above the 457 hp HO 3.5 V6 EcoBoost engine.

The focus of the conversion is definitely on the many changes to the chassis and body. The vehicle equipped with a Baja Performance Package now has a travel of 11 inches (approx. 28 cm) and the width of the track has been expanded by 13,5 inches (approx. 34 cm). The adjustable Fox 3.0 F-150 Long Travel Performance Suspension with bypass shock absorbers is combined with 37-inch (0,94 m) off-road tires on special beadlock aluminum rims and leaves no doubt as to who is the off-piste off-roader. And the body leaves no doubt about that. Because Mil-Spec allows you to order from four paint jobs in the military theme (two shades of gray, black and white) and the black powder-coated steps that Metal aprons front and rear, the new grille with the tuner's logo and the mighty one Bed rack with roof attachment and additional lights do the rest. They let the F-150 mutate completely into a hardcore off-roader.

And also in the cabin you show a certain individuality. Mil-Spec, for example, uses newly upholstered leather seats, there are various control buttons made of billet aluminum and also various emblems and even an exclusive badge to indicate the origin of the modifications. Not quite unique, but at least special!
