All the qualities of the original, supplemented by a decisive plus in functionality - this is how the MINI 5 door secures its exceptional position in the premium segment of small cars. It combines authentic driving fun and expressive design in the style of the British brand with two additional doors and an extra dose of spaciousness in the rear. With the Resolute Edition for the MINI 5 door, the unique combination of traditional sportiness and extended versatility comes into its own in a particularly attractive way. The new edition model enriches the independent character of the MINI 5 door with precisely coordinated design and equipment features that signal self-confidence, individual class and a passion for racing that has grown over time.
MINI Cooper 5 doors
The MINI Cooper 5 door in the Resolute Edition is launched with traditional sporting spirit. It combines the exclusive design features of the edition with the clear and reduced surface design for the front and rear aprons, which emphasize the vehicle's modern character, which focuses on the essentials. A 1,5-litre three-cylinder engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo technology and a maximum output of 100 kW/136 hp ensures lively driving characteristics. With both the standard 6-speed manual transmission and the optional 7-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch, it takes 8,3 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h. The top speed is 207 km/h.
In the new Resolute Edition, the unmistakable appearance of the MINI Cooper 5 door is underscored by the exterior paintwork in the Rebel Green variant. It is inspired by the coloring of classic British racing cars and was previously only available for the extremely sporty John Cooper Works models. The roof and exterior mirror caps of the edition model are painted in the contrasting color Pepper White or optionally in black. Numerous brand-typical design elements are kept in the exclusive color Resolute Bronze. The frames of the headlights, the radiator grille and the rear lights, the side scuttles on the front side panels and the handles of the doors and the tailgate are highlighted by the noble look of the edition-specific color. The brand logos and model lettering as well as the inner frame of the radiator grille and the tailpipe trims of the exhaust system are finished in piano black. In addition, the all-round strip on the lower edge of the window in classic black complements the exclusive appearance of the edition model.
The eponymous "RESOLUTE" lettering characterizes the design of the bonnet stripes and door sill trims. Both show a pattern of parallel lines with a color gradient between a light and a dark gold tone. The asymmetrical course emphasizes the high-quality design of the edition model. 18-inch light alloy wheels in Pulse Spoke Black design round off the sporty aura of the MINI Cooper 5 door in the Resolute Edition. Optionally, 17-inch light-alloy wheels in Tentacle Spoke Black can also be fitted.
MINI Cooper 5-door with five seats
Inside, the MINI Cooper 5 door Resolute Edition offers five seats and thanks to the wheelbase, which is 3 millimeters longer than the MINI 72 door, noticeably more legroom in the rear. The edition-specific design features also come into their own in the generous amount of space. The anthracite-colored headliner, sports seats in fabric/leatherette Black Pearl / Light Checkered, black armrests and knee rolls ensure sporty flair and a high level of driving comfort. This color scheme harmonises perfectly with the Rebel Green exterior paintwork and the black and gold exterior design features. On request, the seats can also be supplied in the MINI Yours Leather Lounge variant in Carbon Black with distinctive seams and piping and a perforated Union Jack motif on the headrests. With its nappa leather cover, the sports steering wheel with edition emblem on the lower spoke is particularly comfortable to hold.
Parallel and evenly curved lines in a light gold tone form an elegant pinstripe pattern on the black background of the edition-specific interior surfaces. Their decor picks up on the structure of the bonnet stripes. With the help of the light package, whose LED units provide targeted illumination of the interior, the exclusive design features are atmospherically staged. The ambient light, which is also part of the equipment of the edition model, enriches the stylish atmosphere with a laser-engraved ring for the central instrument, light piping in the doors and in the cockpit area as well as illuminated door handles and door entry areas. The Resolute Edition of the MINI Cooper 5-door also has the MINI Driving Modes, with which the driver can activate a sporty characteristic for the drive and chassis systems using a toggle switch.
