Chassis modifications derived directly from rallying turn the standard five-door into a MINI Countryman Powered by X-raid.

A significant increase in ground clearance, particularly resistant rims and tires with higher flanks are the components of the retrofitting for driving in demanding terrain, which is now offered by the X-raid team in Trebur, Hesse. They were specially developed for the MINI Countryman and for trips to unpaved terrain. MINI, the X-raid Team and the Dakar Rally - this triad has stood for extraordinary success in motorsport for a decade. From 2012 to 2015, the X-raid team for MINI won four times in a row at the editions of the classic rally held in South America. Another overall success followed in 2020. This time the marathon rally ran through Saudi Arabia for thousands of kilometers. In the MINI Countryman Powered by X-raid, not only does the flair of five Dakar rally victories come into its own, but also the technology that contributed to them authentically.

The X-raid team is just as familiar with the model-specific features of the MINI Countryman as it is with the stresses that are equally high on people and material during long-distance rallies on desert sand, gravel, mud and rubble. His know-how not only flows into the development and construction of Dakar rally winners such as the MINI ALL4 Racing or the MINI John Cooper Works Buggy, but is also used to continuously optimize the preparation of the service vehicles. In this way, extensive modifications were made to the chassis and body, which made the MINI Countryman a particularly reliable companion on the often hundreds of kilometers long competition stages.

Wading depth and ramp angle optimized

Increased ground clearance and measures to avoid flat tires made it easier for the service vehicles of the X-raid team to get ahead both on the narrow, pothole-strewn slopes lined with sharp-edged rocks in the Andean highlands between Argentina and Chile, as well as in the rough terrain of the Saudi Arabians Desert. Accordingly, the MINI Countryman Powered by X-raid is now equipped for individual challenges off the beaten track. A vehicle lift and the large size of the rims and tires increase the ground clearance of the MINI Countryman by up to 40 millimeters. This significantly optimizes the vehicle's fording depth and ramp angle.

The wheels specially developed for rally use offer effective protection against tire damage. A robust rim ring ensures that the entire wheel does not have to be replaced in the event of damage on rocky ground.
