Many Mitsubishi fans will have received with horror the news that the Japanese car manufacturer is withdrawing from Europe and is no longer bringing any new models. From the company headquarters it only says that in future they want to concentrate fully on the Asian markets in order to stay “small but nice” and to restructure themselves healthily. After the withdrawal from the USA, it is now Europe, and thus new editions of legendary models such as Pajero, Lancer Evolution or 3000 GT probably just a dream of many car fans. Especially the Lancer Evolution, which is part of the JDM scene Has achieved absolute cult status, but also divides minds due to its extroverted design, would have deserved a new edition to compete with cars like the planned new edition of the Subaru WRX STI or the Honda Civic Type R. But even if it doesn't work out, we of course have the right material ready for all Evo fans to fall in love with.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X presented by us, which was refined by a Chinese tuning company and comes in steel gray, looks very martial with its Liberty Walk widebody kit, and also has an air suspension from Airforce that is spectacularly embedded in the trunk is. This means that the surface-to-surface missile can crouch a little lower over the asphalt than it already does in series, and that front spoiler made of carbon, which was also attached, has to worry about its integrity with every autumn leaf. The rally bolide also rolls on 19-inch rims from Works, which bear the model name S1, and was equipped with a Brembo racing brake system called the f40. But that's not all, the LED front headlights of the show car imitate the light graphics of the first generation of the Audi A5, and the taillights, which were also equipped with LED technology, have a similar design to the Audi A6 of the C7 generation.

The tuner was inspired by the Ingolstadt-based design and wanted to give his Mitsubishi a slightly more elegant touch. The removal of the large fries counter on the trunk lid, which has been replaced by a much more discreet rump spoiler, which is currently absolutely popular with Chinese tuners, also fits in with the claim. The rear was also cleared and the Mitsubishi emblem had to give way. This gives the car an even sportier attitude, which is ideal for the tuning object. With these conversion measures, which were implemented quite creatively and professionally, the Evo would also be a vehicle at every tuning meeting in this country that the car-loving visitors would take a closer look at.

Nothing has been changed in terms of engine technology.

The 2-liter turbo gasoline engine with four cylinders that fires the Evo X has 295 hp and 366 Newton meters of maximum torque. The all-wheel drive monster accelerates from 5,4 to 0 km / h in a very good 100 seconds. The top speed is 240 km / h, but with an Evo it is actually much better to drive mountain passes or gravel roads, because this is where the Evo can play to its full potential. Both a variant with a 6-speed DSG and a 5-speed manual transmission were available, although we unfortunately do not know which transmission was installed in the vehicle we presented.

This show car comes from the same tuner as the Bloodwrap Mustang.

Fans of the vehicle can read the article about the Mustang in a graffiti look I highly recommend it, as this Ford has been refined by the same tuner as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X that we present to you here. But see for yourself how much the Chinese tuning scene has changed for the better, and what professionally tuned vehicles are now coming from the Middle Kingdom.
