There is nothing that is not there! The Mohs Safarikar!

Let's start with the sentence: "A special design and a special equipment: The (or "The") Mohs Safarikar ..."! Or do we prefer to start with Bruce Mohs? In all honesty, we don't know. What we want to show you is too bizarre. OK - restart with the story! Bruce Mohs began developing his own automobiles in 1968. He developed four different models in his workshop. The first model was that Ostentatienne Opera Sedan vehicle. The focus of vehicle development was on a lot of comfort, luxury and passive safety. Bruce has Mohs on doors waived. There was one in the rear of the vehicle for getting in and out opening mechanismthat reached into the vehicle roof. Visually, the vehicle was very different from the vehicle types of the competitors. Initially, the car had one Gold lacquer. This was later changed to blue. However, the model could also be repainted not sell.

Because the unusual vehicle was unsaleable, Bruce Mohs developed a new one in 1973, the Safari car. The vehicle looked like a limousine with sliding doors on the sides. In addition, the Safarikar was painted black. The black paint made the dimensions of the vehicle appear smaller. Bruce Mohs chose one of the chassis for the International Harvester Travelall. He had already chosen the same chassis for the Ostentatienne Opera. The safari car should be a comfortable companion for safaris in Africa. The luxury of the vehicle was developed based on a Rolls-Royce. The safari car was equipped with a 6,4 liter V8 engine, which is an achievement of 133 kW and thus 181 PS would have.

Special additional equipment of the safari car

A glossy varnish was omitted because of the big game hunting purposes. For this, the vehicle was in interior equipped for optimal hunting. So the Safarikar had one Bench and Rifle mounts in the rear. The vehicle was equipped with a total of three seats. The bench could even be converted into a bed. Cushions for this were hidden in the paneling and could also be folded down. The covers inside consisted of Naugahyde synthetic leather. This should counteract reflections. Snipers could therefore optimally adjust to the hunt. However, the safari car also had the option of using the bench to fold awayso that you could shoot while standing. The steel roof was easy to do this fold backwards. The entire body went out easy and stainless Made of aluminum. The large doors slide back. Visually and in terms of design, the vehicle was to say the least getting used to. However, if you consider the then still legitimate purpose, then it offered a lot of luxury.

Option to purchase a safari car

And a safari car was recently opened for 349.500 USD at Hyman Ltd. offered. But this price is certainly too high. That doesn't justify the rarity of the model either. Bruce Mohs had built a total of three vehicles. One is in a museum for the exhibition. Another model was discovered in Georgia and restored in 2009. A new interior was created with 7000 stainless steel staples and 36,5 square meters of artificial leather. The very massive radiator grille, which even has its own hood ornament, is still impressive. Bruce Mohs already had the hood ornament for that Ostentatienne Opera Sedan vehicle created. The safari car also has smaller ones nitrogen-filled tireslike its predecessor.

Bruce Baldwin Mohs, a great-great-grandson of the Swedish King Karl-Johann, had many extraordinary ideas and creations. So he devoted himself to numerous inventions. In 1948 he began to develop and optimize seaplanes. In 1958 he expanded the services for his company by offering a charter flight service with a Cessna 120 as a seaplane. He was the captain of the Cessna himself. Safety was always important to him in the air and on earth. As early as the 1950s, he converted aircraft belts by installing them in a private pickup. He also invented reflective strips for the barriers on the highways in order to have more security here. He also invented a very large scooter and a novel instant milkshake. His interests were varied and he was always eager to advance his time with his inventions.
