Morgan Plus Four Spiaggina for the beach trip!

The British sports car manufacturer Morgan Motors is known for extraordinary creations. Not only the traditional roadster models, but also various small series and one-offs regularly cause a stir. The latest achievement from Morgen is the Plus Four Spiaggina, a one-off, custom-made for a solvent Morgan collector. We would like to present this vehicle to you today, which was completed at the end of 2022 but has only now been presented to the experts.

Rolling beach chair!

"Spiaggina" means "beach vehicle" in Italian, and that's what the one-off Morgan Plus Four looks like. With a roof tent structure reminiscent of legendary models such as the Fiat 500 Jolly or Mini Moke remembered, it is perfect for a trip to the nearest sandy beach. The wood look of the aluminum frame as well as the extraordinary Sliding doors of the structure ensure a maritime feeling in the noble British. In terms of chassis technology, the Spiaggina is based on the steel chassis of the regular Plus Four, but the vehicle has been slightly lengthened in favor of the rear passengers.

Rattan-look leather and wood dominate the interior. A small amount of teak was also used to achieve a feeling like on a sailing yacht. The Spiaggina's rear seats can also be folded down to provide plenty of space for beach gear. The special Morgan already has all the upgrades planned for the 2023 model year, including a glove box, airbags, ESP and a new dashboard. With Morgan, driving comfort is more important than before.

A 2-liter R4 turbo petrol engine provides propulsion!

When it comes to the drive, the British traditionally rely on turbo petrol engines that come from BMW. The 2-liter engine generates 255 hp and around 400 Newton meters of maximum torque. This accelerates the light Spiaggina to 5 km/h in less than 100 seconds. Unfortunately, we do not have any details on the maximum speed. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.

Our conclusion:

A great reminiscence of classic beach buggies from the 50s. Morgan has implemented this customer order perfectly and we hope that the car has come into loving hands.
