A few weeks ago Tuner did MTM engine technology Mayer scattered a few pictures of a completely rebuilt Audi R8 on social media. And now the YouTubers from AutoTopNL published a motorway video two days ago. And of course we cannot withhold that from you. You can see the so-called "MTM Audi R8 GT4 Street" With Compressor Power, stately from 802 HP and a chic matt gray foil! The 15-minute video begins with a tour of the R8, there are a few brief details about the vehicle, and then it's off to the motorway. And the little film impressively shows that MTM has basically made it Race cars with street legal to build. The already extremely potent R8 Plus with V10 becomes an absolute beast with some motorsport-inspired improvements.
BBS FI-R forged wheels on the R8
Let's start with sending wheelset. MTM put the R8 on a set ultra-light BBS FI-R forged wheels in frozen gold with Michelin Pilot Sport Slippers and the factory Carbon-ceramic brakes behind. At times there is no performance wheel set other pictures but also in the shiny black and with a red one PinStripe to see. And then there are the many changes to the body. The R8 receives an aggressive front apron with an additional splinter and lateral wingletswho like the design of the Audi e-tron GT remind. The highlight of the front view is definitely the new one Hood with a huge central gill-shaped air opening (Louvers) and two quick release. The side section is subtly underlined with new ones Side skirts, carbon mirror caps and the Carbon air inlet in the side wall is marked with a MTM GT4 lettering equipped in red. The changes are particularly noticeable at the rear. In addition to a huge adjustable GT4 style carbon rear wing it is especially the modified rear apron that catches the eye.
four tailpipes directly under the rear lights
Except for a few red accents it is not really changed and still with the factory one RS rear diffuser equipped, but the oval tailpipes in the typical RS style have disappeared and through grid replaced. The exhaust system is namely up hiked and shows up now both sides directly under the tail lights. The four tailpipes remind us a little of the Ferrari Enzo, but with the arrangement of the F430 Scuderia. this is the shortest and thus most effective Variant been to discharge the exhaust gases from the engine to the outside. In contrast to the F430, the MTM has GT4 Street significantly more pressure. The 5,2-liter V10 engine under the rear cover was namely by means of Compressor, as already mentioned at the beginning, on violent from 802 HP pushed. And you can see that not only on the speedometer needle, but you can hear it especially in combination with the specially made sports exhaust system.
R8 with the sound of a racing car
The V10 of the R8 is actually known for a solid and, for a ten-cylinder, deep sound. With the compressor kit, the super sports car sounds like one thoroughbred racing car. At least in the Performance mode. Comfort mode it is, however, much quieter and almost civil. And MTM has also left its mark in the cabin. For example in the form of athletic ones bucket seats or special Foot mats. At the end... Once again, MTM has created an absolute highlight that does not necessarily make saying goodbye to the R8 easy.
