When you talk about powerful vehicles above 550 hp, you immediately think of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, Audi RS6 and of course the BMW M5. In no way would you think of an Audi A3, would you? But that is exactly what the team from now has MTM engine technology Mayer done because they modified the current Audi RS3 facelift with a 2,5-liter five-cylinder TFSi engine and 400 PS (294 kW) so extremely that it comes with a tough 572 PS & 670 NM torque (at 3.250 rpm) and a resulting one Acceleration to 100 km / h in 3,55 seconds mixes up the long-running hits mentioned above.
Suddenly the RS3 is at the level of the brand new BMW M5 (F90) with 600 PS (3,4 seconds at 100 km / h and 11,1 seconds at 200 km / h) and the E63S cannot really undercut these acceleration values either. Unfortunately, MTM does not currently provide any data for the sprint to 200 km / h, but we assume that due to the lower total weight (1.515kg) of the MTM RS3 R Clubsport M5 & Co. maybe even a tenth of a second or two less can. The in-house chip tuning software, a modified intercooler, a new turbocharger, an MTM exhaust pipe and a carbon intake by Eventuri, which are also manufactured in-house, are responsible for the significant increase in performance. The modified Haldex clutch, which can turn the RS3 into a permanent four-wheel drive, also plays a major role in the improved acceleration.
And optically, the RS3 is not necessarily restrained because the eye-catching foiling in particular makes it an eye-catcher. The steam hammer is refined with a beautiful Bimoto forged wheel set that perfectly fills the wheel arches in the dimensions 9 × 20 inches in combination with a KW coilover kit from gepfeffert.com. A highlight in the interior are certainly the high-quality bucket seats made of carbon with fine Alcantara and smooth leather as seat covers. The compact muscle man is impressively rounded off with details such as a removed Audi emblem on the tailgate, an additional MTM display or the roaring sports exhaust system. If we get more details about the changes, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
