A British Nissan GT-R owner now has to experience this first hand. His sports car responded to the excessive acceleration after a short time with large "unwanted" flames. The exhaust just got way too hot and melted surrounding plastic parts unnoticed and then set them on fire. The whole thing happened in London at the beginning of November 2020. The bystanders tried to smother the fire more or less effectively with jackets, water and various drinks, but only a fire extinguisher could put the fire out. In order to reach the source of the fire at all, some of the rear apron had to be radically torn off. The athlete, who cost more than 100.000 euros, may not have burned down completely, but the damage done will easily be in the five figures. Apparently nobody was injured.
