Mighty fat: Ford Mustang SN-95 New Edge Shirokai widebody kit!

What is old but never goes out of style? Exactly, the muscle cars from the 90s. The Fourth generation Ford Mustang SN-95 is a prime example of this. Many would argue that the SN-95 had been somewhat forgotten, especially with the New Edge facelift, but the tide has turned in the last few years. Now that the roaring V8 is back in the spotlight, we're seeing more aftermarket options than ever for the SN-95, and the latest is this Shirokai widebody kit. The SN-95, an evolution of its predecessor's Fox platform, has seen some changes over the years. From 1994 to 1998 there was the original look, but from 1999 to 2004 the car was given the New Edge Facelift revised, which gave it a much more aggressive style. The edges, the lines and the entire profile - all a homage to the typical design of the 90s.

But what does the Mustang actually have under the hood from the factory? Before the Coyote engine came onto the scene, the 4,6-liter modular V8 the heart of many Mustangs, and while it may not have the power of today's V8 engines, it had enough power to outshine some of the competition. Now let’s get to the most exciting part – this Shirokai widebody kit. The kit is perfectly adapted for the SN-95 New Edge Mustang and gives it an even more aggressive presence. A large front spoiler, monstrous Wheel arch, which extend the front by 9 cm and the back by a whopping 12 cm, and all made of robust ABS plastic and not GRP. The kit is available for $2.970. But that's not all - for those who really want to show off their car, there is an optional one rear spoiler for an additional $490.

A rear spoiler can also be ordered

That adds up to $3.460 for the entire package. And if you're quick, you could be one of the 20 to get their hands on the kit by the end of the year. Let's hope that we can SEMA 2023, which takes place from October 31st to November 3rd. For those wondering how much an SN-95 Mustang costs these days, a well-preserved 95-1994 SN-1998 sells for around $11.000 in the US. However, if you are looking for something special, the SVT Cobra They cost about $20.000. For the New Edge version from 1999-2004 the prices rise again, because you have to plan for 13.000 dollars for the GT and almost 29.000 for a good SVT Cobra. That's not far from the $30.920 you'll pay for a brand-new 2024 Mustang EcoBoost.
