The 350Z (Z33) is a sports car that was produced by the Japanese brand Nissan from 2002 to 2009. The 350Z is a two-seat, rear-wheel drive coupe with a powerful six-cylinder engine. It is available in various trim levels, including a roadster with a soft top. And the 350Z is a particularly popular model among tuners, who value it for its driving dynamics, design and affordable price. But what if you turn the 350Z into a real off-roader? The owner of the vehicle presented in this article thought the same thing. He equipped his 350Z with four-wheel drive and converted it into an off-road monster.

The 350Z conversion began with the installation of all-wheel drive from an Infiniti G37x, a sister model to the 350Z. To do this, however, you had to take over the subframe, the differential and some chassis components from the G37. It has also received a locked transfer case that allows a fixed 50/50 torque split between the front and rear axles. This allows the 350Z to maintain its traction even on rough terrain. To increase ground clearance, the owner raised the landing gear. To do this, he used spiral dampers, new springs, polyurethane spacers and some parts from an Infiniti FX. The wheels were also replaced with gold Method rims with 30-inch off-road tires. The front bumper was removed and a large skid plate replaced it. This is to protect the engine from stones and dirt.

In addition, light pods were mounted on the front and a roof rack. The 350Z's engine has remained largely unchanged so far. It is the well-known VQ37VHR 3.7L V6 that produces 333 hp as standard. It is linked to an automatic transmission that can be operated using shift paddles on the steering wheel. The owner only installed a new air filter and a new exhaust system to increase the performance a bit. The result of the rebuild is a 350Z like no other. It combines the sportiness of a coupé with the off-road capability of an SUV. It is fun both on and off-road and is an eye-catcher.
