When you think of a Nissan GT-R R35, you immediately think of the brutal, yet elegant exterior, and the great popularity in the JDM tuning scene. An Italian design company like Italdesign but will probably only come to mind the fewest car fans if they Nissan GT-R Listen. But this is exactly what the Japanese super sports car has now taken on, and modified entirely according to their ideas. Design would suit a GT-R R36

The Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign was supposed to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, but it is known to have fallen victim to the corona virus. The huge radiator mouth, which looks as if it would literally want to eat its opponents on the highway, as well as the petrol-colored paint of the car, which together with the black add-on parts causes a lot of attention, clearly signal that this is a thoroughbred sports car is of the finest quality. At the rear, the obligatory wing, which is so characteristic of the GT-R models, must of course not be missing, and the roof, which has been lowered by 54 mm compared to the production version and given a "double-bubble" design, is a reminder a bit like the new Toyota Supra, which also makes use of this design element. Overall, in our opinion, the design of the Italdesign bodywork would be an ideal template for a possible GT-R R36, if it should see the light of day at some point.

Carbon was installed in abundance in the interior.

In the interior, which still looks contemporary and modern even after 13 years of construction, carbon was not skimped, and in our opinion the very sporty Alcantara seats also fit perfectly into the newly designed interior, which, however, has only been very subtly revised "normal“GT-R.

The engine was revised again by Nismo.

The 3,8-liter V6 biturbo, which delivers 600 HP and 652 Newton meters of maximum torque in the Nismo version as standard, was not enough. Nismo thought that the 600 PS was of course not enough for such an exclusive special series, and gave the GT-R50 by Italdesign 110 PS more power and 128 Nm more torque. 710 HP and 780 Newton meters of maximum torque should be enough to leave some super sports cars that can already be hunted with a normal GT-R Nismo behind. But do the owners of the sinfully expensive version want to go hunting sports cars at all, or are the 50 copies built by lovers kept in the garage and never see the light of day again? We don't know, we can only speculate.

Super rare and extremely expensive.

As we have already mentioned above, the strictly limited model is truly not a bargain, but with a unit price of 1,18 million euros is a toy for solvent lovers of the Japanese classic, which embodies a myth like no other sports car and has loyal fans and lovers worldwide .
