It was only a matter of time before the Russian tuning company SCL Global Concept (SCL Performance) also took on the current Nissan GT-R R35 in order to turn it into an unmistakable specimen that attracts even more attention on the road than a standard -GT-R already does. After various modifications, which caused a sensation worldwide, but were partly carried out on cars that are not necessarily firmly anchored in the tuning scene, such as one Mercedes R class or one Maserati Quattroporte the fifth generation, now comes the darling of the JDM scene on, the Nissan GT-R R35. With this model, which has already been refined by almost all tuning companies in the world, SCL of course put a lot of effort into developing an unmistakable body kit for "Godzilla", which definitely causes a stir.

the GT-R can do even more

In the case of the SCL Nissan, 90 percent of the body parts have been changed, which means that the 18-piece body kit, which includes a new bonnet with large air intake, a double-bubble roof, an enlarged rear wing and fender flares, definitely shows a lot of impact, and turns the already striking GT-R into a real eye-catcher. On request, the body kit is also available completely made of carbon fibers, which even saves weight compared to the production version. In addition, the carbon parts impress with their enormous heat resistance and extremely high rigidity. Temperatures of 120 ° C and more are no problem for the components. Only a visit to the car wash can be a challenge, as the fender flares make the vehicle 6 cm wider, and the production version of the Nissan GT-R already with a width of over 1,90 m is not exactly narrow.

"Subtle" body kit on the Japanese

In our opinion, the body kit for the GT-R is still relatively discreet, and far less noticeable than, for example, the restyling kits for the Range Rover Sport or the Mercedes R-Class, which also come from SCL. In this case, it was thought at SCL Global Concept that decent tuning is also in order, which does not change the vehicle so much that it can hardly be identified. In any case, with the body kit on your own Nissan GT-R you would be the king of the local tuning scene and you would definitely get a lot of attention at every tuning meeting.

The engine was not changed.

With the body kit, the well-known 3,8-liter V6 biturbo heart beats under the hood, which has been doing its job in the Japanese super sports car since its presentation in 2008. In the current version, the unit delivers 570 hp and 637 Nm of maximum torque. The power transmission takes place as usual via a six-stage dual clutch transmission. The top speed is 315 km / h and it goes from 0 to 100 in a breathtaking 2,9 seconds. So you can also hunt a few super sports cars with a Nissan GT-R, which easily and happily cost twice, because with a current new price of around 105.000 euros the car is comparatively cheap.

Who buys such a body kit?

The tuning-crazy JDM clientele in particular cannot get enough of restyling kits, which is why the JDM scene has a worldwide reputation for putting the craziest ideas into practice. We think that GT-R fans, who want to stand out from the crowd at vehicle meetings, use such a body kit to give their darling a very special look.
