Not only the Skyline models, which were built around the turn of the millennium, are legendary, but also the classic specimens with the designation, which are already in the 70s ran off the assembly line. However, these were not yet JDM Supercars, but dynamic and sporty mid-range vehicles that shone with a pretty design. Back then, no one could have guessed where the journey for the Skyline family would go. Today we would like to introduce you to a 1977 model of the C210 series, which was brought to the USA from Japan by Kaiser Kars.
Classic with subtle tuning!
Visually, the oldie was only slightly sharpened. So he received a custom suspension that provides less ground clearance and pushes the car closer to the asphalt. Also got the Skyline fender flares from Top Secret, a redesigned front lip, black front and rear bumpers and rear-view mirrors that sit on the front fenders, as is known from classic Japanese limousines. 15-inch rims with the bulky designation Star Road Glow Road were also installed and the Nissan rolls on Bridgestone Potenza RE-01 tires in 225/50 R15 format. The extreme low bed design suits the JDM classic perfectly and the front lip and the wheel arch extensions also harmonize with the rest of the body.
The spirit of racing wafts through the interior!
customBucket seats from Bride as well as a dished sports steering wheel from Nardi of the Deep Corn type, ensure a racing atmosphere in the legendary coupe. In addition, a new shift knob was installed, and the radio and speakers had to be replaced in favor of one weight loss exit the vehicle. As a small gadget, there are floor mats from Top Secret in the footwell.
Around 280 hp are completely sufficient in the classic!
It is powered by an RB30 petrol engine with six cylinders, which is equipped with RB26 cylinder heads. Pistons, valves and camshafts come from HKS and other custom components were installed in the engine compartment. The power is around 280 PS and is shifted via a manual five-speed gearbox from a Skyline R32 GTS-t. The power is only transmitted to the rear wheels, which makes the vehicle ideal as a drift car or track tool. Unfortunately, we have no information on performance and top speed.
Our conclusion:
- A dreamy JDM classic, which is probably as hard to find on the local used car market as a needle in a haystack. From our point of view, such a vehicle definitely belongs in the hands of a collector. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
