A Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 is one of the absolute icons of JDM tuning scene. For some years now, it has also been allowed in the USA to import this car directly from Japan, as a 25-year rule applies in the states, which states that cars that are not officially offered in the USA are at least 25 years old must be in order to be allowed to be introduced. Tuners like Ray Abeleda, the owner of the model we are introducing to you today, take advantage of the fact that a JDM legend like the R32 has now reached the required age to get approval in the USA. So the Skyline R32 will probably also take the US tuning scene by storm, and find many new friends overseas who may not even have the car on their radar.

Discreetly tuned classic.

This carbon gray skyline from 1990 is optically very discreet and completely dispenses with onomatopoeic elements and riot tuning. The dark gray 19-inch rims by Leon Hardiritt, with their drop-center look and chrome tread, perfectly match the stylish appearance of the car. The pentagram design of the spokes is also not too daring and fits seamlessly into the chosen tuning style. The power dome on the front part of the bonnet is, in our opinion, a bit too daring and doesn't really harmonize with the rest of the body. But of course, as always, it's a matter of taste. That's what the rear spoiler is with Gurney flap in keeping with the zeitgeist of the 1990s and is simply part of every skyline. Some vehicles simply look disfigured without a spoiler, and in addition to the skyline, this also includes a Porsche 911 Turbo, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and a Subaru WRX STI. At least that's our opinion. Thus, the modified Nissan Skyline looks as if it could go through as an absolute eye-catcher at every JDM meeting and inspire the masses of car fans.

The interior has also been redesigned.

In the interior, new Recaro sports seats with the model designation SR3 Wildcat were introduced, and the door panels were also replaced to harmonize with the wine-red pattern of the Recaros. In addition, a Momo sports steering wheel was installed in the right-hand drive model, and the Skyline also received additional instruments for turbo boost and oil pressure from STACK. In addition, new rear seats were installed, which optically match the wine-red and black Recaros. There are also green as a visual highlight Harness belts in the seats, which give the driver and co-driver the necessary support and safety when it comes to the race track.

The engine was pushed to 373 hp.

With the help of modified turbochargers, the 2,8-liter turbo engine was inflated to 373 hp. That is almost 100 hp more than the standard output, which is 280 hp. In addition, a new fuel pump, new injection nozzles and a downpipe exhaust system were installed. According to tuner and owner Ray Abeleda, however, this should not be the end of the flagpole, as the performance of the Skyline can still be improved, according to his words. We are curious what Ray can tease out of the turbo, and as soon as we have new information, we will let you know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the performance, but thanks to the 373 horses, the Nissan should generate a lot of propulsion and also cut a good figure on the quarter mile.

An absolute exotic in this country.
