Various tuners such as Saleen and Hennessey are currently arguing about who can put the strongest Mustang on its feet. And as it is often said, “when two are arguing, the third is happy”, the secret winner is Ford itself, which is currently offering the most powerful Mustang. The Mustang RTR comes from the factory with 735PS V8.

In cooperation with the American drifter and winner of the 2012 Formula Drift, Vaughn Gittin Jr., Ford set up the RTR. There are two components: Spec 1 (optics) and Spec 2 (technology)  Spec 1 includes:

- two different front aprons
- side skirts
- Rear spoiler
- rear diffuser
- larger air inlets at the front

Spec 2 includes:

- adjustable dampers and anti-roll bar
- shorter springs
- Magnaflow exhaust system
- optional compressor
- RTR suction system

But not only the 735PS V8 is supposed to fuel the Mustang but also smaller variants that can all be optimized.

To date, Ford has not yet announced the exact price and performance data. This will be the case by the end of December at the latest, because all parts should be available for order from the beginning of 2015.

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
