707 hp! NOVITEC individualizes the new McLaren GT!

The development of aerodynamic parts for the fastest cars in the world has been the domain of NOVITEC designers for decades. With a car as fast as the McLaren GT, it goes without saying that not only a sporty, elegant look, but above all aerodynamic efficiency plays a dominant role. Complex wind tunnel tests were carried out for this. The NOVITEC body parts are produced in visible carbon. The two-part NOVITEC update for the front bumper not only gives the mid-engine sports car an even more striking face: the front spoiler lip also reduces lift on the front axle, which further improves driving stability at high speeds. The carbon panels on the outer air intakes optimize the airflow to the radiators and front brakes.

When viewed from the side, the GT with the NOVITEC sills looks optically stretched and deeper than in the standard condition. In addition, the designers developed carbon hoods for the upper air intakes on the two side parts of the vehicle. They direct the airstream into the engine compartment in a more targeted manner. The rear section of the refined McLaren is not only accentuated with the three-part NOVITEC carbon rear spoiler, which profiles the standard tear-off edge even more. It also increases downforce on the rear axle. The NOVITEC MC3 wheels for the GT, which Vossen produces for the German refiner, were also carefully designed: thanks to the use of state-of-the-art forging technology, they offer an optimal combination of lightweight construction and strength with their seven filigree double spokes. The rims were designed so that they not only optimally fill the space in the wheel arches: the mix of different diameters at the front and rear emphasizes the wedge shape of the mid-engine car even more.

8.5Jx20 wheels with 245/30 ZR 20 high-performance tires are driven on the front axle. At the rear, 325/25 ZR 21 tires are used on 12Jx21 forged rims. NOVITEC sport springs lower the two-seater by approx. 25 millimeters without affecting the comparatively high driving comfort of the GT. The four-liter eight-cylinder with two turbochargers in the McLaren offers an excellent starting point for powerful tuning. The NOVITEC engine technicians developed three different performance kits for the GT. The heart of all variants is the NOVITEC N-TRONIC module, which controls the engine with new maps for injection and ignition and adjusts the boost pressure regulation. The additional control unit is adapted to the vehicle's electronic engine management using the plug & play process.

In the strongest stage, which also includes a NOVITEC RACE high-performance exhaust system, 64 kW / 87 hp more peak power and an 84 Nm higher maximum torque are achieved. The V8 with NOVITEC tuning delivers an impressive 520 kW / 707 hp at 7.450 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 6.250 Nm at 714 tours! The refined Briton is once again gaining momentum: after just 3,0 seconds, the tuned two-seater is already 100 km / h fast. The top speed increases to 333 km / h. On the road, the NOVITEC performance increase is not only noticeable through the further increased driving performance, but also through an even more direct response and an even more powerful pulling power.

with 100-cell sports catalysts

As an ideal addition to engine tuning, NOVITEC also offers a precisely coordinated high-performance exhaust system made of stainless steel for the McLaren GT. The range also includes highly efficient, heat-insulated 100-cell sports catalysts. Another specialty of the NOVITEC finishing portfolio is the interior.
