The ŠKODA OCTAVIA is now also available in the dynamic SPORTLINE design line. Striking design features and numerous black details characterize the SPORTLINE version, which also shines with extensive standard equipment. The design line with a sporty look is available as a sedan and station wagon with a wide variety of drive options. There is a choice of petrol, CNG * and diesel units, as well as a plug-in hybrid version * and a mild hybrid * as well as all-wheel drive. Entry into the world of the OCTAVIA SPORTLINE is now possible from 32.150 euros. At the same time, ŠKODA is expanding its range of plug-in hybrid models: both the OCTAVIA CLEVER special model and the particularly sporty OCTAVIA RS PLUS can now be ordered with the petrol-electric 1,4 TSI iV unit.
SPORTLINE version & plug-in
Black front and rear spoilers, roof rails, grille frames and exterior mirror caps in black as well as the SPORTLINE logo on the front fenders highlight the new variant of the successful model. The lettering on the rear is also made in black, underneath the rear diffuser and exhaust trim look skilfully alluding to motorsport features. Parking sensors at the front and rear make maneuvering easier. Dark-tinted rear and rear side windows (sunset) as well as the LED rear lights with a crystal glass look give the OCTAVIA SPORTLINE elegant accents.
As standard, it is equipped with 18-inch light alloy wheels in the Vega design, with a high-sheen finish, customers can optionally order the 19-inch Taurus wheels - these are fitted with 225/40 R19 tires. The sporty appearance is rounded off by the sports suspension, which has been lowered by 15 millimeters (except for iV and G-TEC versions), and the standard driving profile selection allows it to be tailored to individual preferences. A preparation for the trailer towing device is on board ex works (except for iV and G-TEC versions). There are seven body colors to choose from for the OCTAVIA SPORTLINE, and two more shades will be added to the range of colors in the course of the year, including the spectacular Phoenix Orange Premium Metallic.
The sporty elegance continues seamlessly in the interior. The driver and front passenger take their place on heated, luxury sports seats and look at a fabric-covered dashboard, which is rounded off by a decorative strip in piano black at the bottom. Behind the multifunction sports steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster informs the driver of current driving data in several selectable layouts. The standard scope also includes the Bolero infotainment system, five USB ports and the Phonebox for inductive charging of compatible smartphones. Stainless steel pedals and door sills complete the SPORTLINE look of the interior.
The ŠKODA OCTAVIA SPORTLINE can be ordered in conjunction with the 110 kW (150 PS) * 1,5 TSI from 32.150 euros, the estate version starts at 32.850 euros. The 2,0 TSI petrol engine with 140 kW (190 PS) * and the 110 kW (150 PS) * turbodiesel are available in combination with all-wheel drive and then have a 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG).
OCTAVIA CLEVER and sportier OCTAVIA RS PLUS available as plug-in hybrid versions
In addition, ŠKODA is expanding the range of engines for two attractive model versions: both the OCTAVIA CLEVER special model and the particularly sporty OCTAVIA RS PLUS are now also available as plug-in hybrids. In the OCTAVIA CLEVER, the combination of the 1,4 TSI iV petrol engine and an electric unit has an output of 150 kW (204 PS) *. The sedan version of the richly equipped special model is available from 39.310 euros, the OCTAVIA CLEVER COMBI from 40.010 euros. The OCTAVIA RS PLUS achieves a system output of 180 kW (245 hp) from the same unit and starts as a sedan at 49.450 euros, the RS PLUS COMBI is available from 50.150 euros.
The entire model family benefits from upgraded equipment and new options
In all versions of the current OCTAVIA model family, ŠKODA is now combining the automatic eCall emergency call with seat recognition. In addition, every OCTAVIA from the Active equipment line onwards now has an electrically operated child safety device for the rear doors and windows as well as a Bluetooth hands-free system. Increased comfort for users of the iV models: The intensity level for recuperating energy in overrun mode and when braking can now be adjusted directly in the driving profile selection or accessed via a shortcut button. And for the OCTAVIA Style, RS, RS PLUS and SCOUT versions, ŠKODA is now offering the 360-degree Area View camera as a new option.
