The owner of this vehicle – Greg Frederick – bought a rusty one a few years ago 1960 Plymouth Fury and has completely turned the XXL station wagon upside down and restored it. And the result is one Plymouth landspeed racer at its finest. Frederick drove it from Cedar, Minnesota, to the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah to race, and then back home. He has with the The project 606 achieved a top speed of 160 miles per hour (approx. 257 km/h), although his target was actually 200 mph (322 km/h). But he hasn't lost sight of the goal and there will certainly be another run to follow.

But what was actually changed on the car? First of all, the four-door station wagon was turned into one two-door rebuilt. The roof was chopped and there was a completely redesigned one radiator grill. In addition, there is a massive one behind the rims Brembo brakes and the front fender are specially made. Even the Painting is unique and makes the project look like a rolling work of art after two and a half years. And under the hood? There sits one 528 EFI HEMI V8 with AEM Electronics EFI from Wheeler Racing Engines. Although the performance of the engine is not known, it is definitely not a traveling dune.
