$ 100.000 paint job on the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (991.2)!

Without a doubt, the 911 generation Porsche 2 GT991 RS is a very special vehicle. At the moment it is still the most powerful 700 you can buy and impresses with a fabulous 750 PS and 3,8 NM from a 6-liter 7-cylinder boxer engine. There is also a rear wing, which only a few production cars can boast of such dimensions. And even a Nürburgring Nordschleife time of less than 2 minutes can only be demonstrated by very few production vehicles. And this particular GTXNUMX RS is even more special, as it has an abundance of carbon and titanium components from the optional Weissach package and, for a few days, one of the most elaborate paint jobs ever. But that was only applied afterwards. From Topaz detailingwho recently just one Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster have donated a complete wrapping. The well-heeled owner of the GT2 RS wanted the XNUMX to match other vehicles in his supercar fleet.

Paintwork in Verde British Green

This includes, for example, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Ferrari 488 Pista. So he invests a crazy $ 100.000 in a new paint job and a revamped interior. The video shows the entire process, and while it is hugely expensive, the price seems somehow justified. Because to give the GT2 RS a paint job with OEM quality, it has to be completely disassembled inside and out. Whether doors, wheel arches or even the windows, everything has been removed so that the new paintwork in Verde British Green (actually a Ferrari color) can be applied. The painting was of course carried out with absolute precision without covering the visible carbon details on the bonnet or on the roof. Even the factory GT2 RS rims are no longer gold, but are painted exactly in the vehicle color. And the brake calipers have also been redesigned, but not in green, but in copper, which also comes from the Ferrari shelf.

more individuality is not possible in the interior

The paintwork also received a special paint protection and, as mentioned, a lot has happened inside. Here literally “EVERYTHING” was covered with light brown leather, which even applies to the steering column stalk up to the GT2 RS roll cage. Everything should definitely match the other cars in the collection. And as on the outside, the detail work is also exceptionally perfect inside. There are now green leather inserts for the seats as a contrast to the paintwork and many details such as the stitching in green to the high-gloss carbon impress with an incredible attention to detail. The result is an interior that looks extremely luxurious and is somehow a long way from the standard GT2 RS. Nevertheless, in our opinion, "foiling" would have been the better choice. In view of the limited edition of the GT2 RS, the subsequent changes should not exactly add value.
