The PCCM was developed in two versions and can replace the original built-in devices with 1-DIN or 2-DIN dimensions. Both infotainment systems offer a high-resolution touchscreen and modern functions such as DAB + and Apple CarPlay as well as onboard navigation. The new PCCM can be ordered from the Porsche Classic Online Shop or the Porsche Center.

Further development of the previous radio navigation system for classic Porsche sports cars. Like this, the new PCCM fits exactly into the 1-DIN slot that has been the standard in sports cars for decades. The PCCM is operated via two knobs, six integrated buttons and a touch-sensitive 3,5-inch display. Like the previous model, it includes a navigation function with "Point of Interest" search in a further developed version. The route guidance is either a simple arrow display in 2D or 3D view. The associated map material is provided on a separate SD card, which can also be ordered from the Porsche Classic Online Shop or from a Porsche Center.

Current digital technology: DAB +, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth

In addition, the PCCM can now receive digital radio stations with DAB +. Another specialty for this device class is the integration of Apple CarPlay. For the first time, all users of an Apple iPhone from version 5 have the option of using their iPhone's apps for media playback, navigation and telephony even while driving. Media can also be played back via an SD card, USB, AUX and Bluetooth®. Due to the appearance of the black surface and the shape of the knobs, the PCCM blends harmoniously into the dashboard of Porsche classics. It bears the Porsche logo and is suitable for the sports car generations between the first 911 of the 1960s and the last 1990 with air cooling from the early 993s (series XNUMX). It can also be used in the earlier front and mid-engine models.

PCCM Plus: Modern successor to the first generation PCM

Generation 911 996s and Generation 986 Boxsters, which were built in the 1990s, were already equipped with Porsche Communication Management (PCM) in 2-DIN format on request. For these sports cars, Porsche Classic developed the Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus), which has a high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen with optimized display. The feel and appearance of the PCCM Plus are based on the neighboring components such as air vents or pushbuttons. The PCCM Plus thus integrates seamlessly into the ambience of the classic sports car. The peripheral parts already installed in the vehicle such as amplifiers, loudspeakers or antennas can continue to be used. The navigation displays in the instrument cluster will also continue to be supported.

Operation via touchscreen according to today's standard

Operation via touchscreen and buttons is largely carried out according to the high, intuitively detectable standard common in Porsche vehicles today. This means that the driver also has the latest onboard navigation with Porsche-specific points of interest (POI). The route is guided in 2D or 3D. Card data and later updates can be used as for the PCCM via a separate SD card and ordered from the Porsche Center. Media playback is possible via SD card, USB stick, AUX and Bluetooth. Like the PCCM, the PCCM Plus also offers an interface to Apple CarPlay. The new 2-DIN device is also compatible with GOOGLE® Android Auto.
