The Mazda MX-5 has been an integral part of the roadster scene for years. And the current generation of the MX-5 (RF / ND) leaves nothing to be desired, especially with the Sports-Line plus SportPackage at a total price of just under € 35.000. Especially the brand new Retractable Fastback “(RF) folding hardtop is an improvement compared to the soft top and is really cool. The construction is completely electrically hidden exactly where the fabric top would otherwise be. But why only up to 10 km / h? And why did vehicles from the production period May 14.5.2015, 7.1.2017 to XNUMX January XNUMX not install the now available insulation strip kit on the hardtop that massively reduces the annoying wind noise? So quite a few questions that the current model also brings with it. All in all, however, only details and in view of the once again fabulous driving pleasure rather secondary.

Only in terms of appearance Mazda could have been a bit braver. Although the grim headlights look ahead and the much less rounded tail much better than its predecessor, we would have desired a little more aggressiveness. In addition, this still received a huge lowering and a wheel of the Nissan 370Z. But let's start with the body kit. In view of the maximum 184 PS strong four-cylinder engine (RF 2.0 Skyactiv G-184) but quite a number too fierce as we find. Other changes are a complete roll cage with matt black paint and in the following video you can see that even other wheelsets were installed on the Japanese.
