For the year 2020 Nissan has refreshed the thickest horse in the stable with a facelift. But the titanium in the segment of ladder frame pickups is now no Diesel engine have more. This one floats clearly against the trend of General Motors, Fiat Chrysler and Ford. They rely in part on huge 6,7-liter Power Stroke engines (F-250 / 350 / 450) to be able to pull enormous loads. So why is Nissan kicking out the five-liter turbo diesel V8? It was quite modern with a two-stage turbocharger, particulate filter and a light metal cylinder head. Now it has to line up an 5,6-liter V8 gasoline engine with 406 PS and 560 Newtonmeter torque. In contrast to the diesel but this produces at least a befitting V8 soundscape and should, especially in the tuning scene, provide for one or the other sports exhaust system.

That with the exhaust in terms of tuning on the new Titan XD (only available as crew cab and with long loading area) but by no means must the end be proved by the Japanese team of PANCROSS LLC (Pandem rocketbunny tra-kyoto). For the past SEMA car show they have presented a brand new Titan whose impressive look is impressively staged with a comprehensive widebody kit. Well not only F Fans with Pandem Parts will be on the road, but also fans of the Titan Pickup. And the body kit shows of course - typical pandem - with exposed screw connections on the huge fender flares all around. Some of the attachments extend over the sills and doors at the front and also provide a significant increase in vehicle width at the rear.

In addition, there is a modified front apron that stands out on the exhibition vehicle of the SEMA, especially with the mighty Bullenfänger. The completely black radiator grille and the additionally installed steps as well as the roll bar on the loading area are a good match for the modifications to the bodywork. However, one must not forget that the fender flares can only be installed if the factory-fitted fenders are cut out over a large area. That is a permanent change! We are not sure about the rear apron. Here it seems to be the factory-made component, which is set only by sports exhaust system including blue-burned tailpipes in scene. The Titan would not be so spectacular without the extreme lowering and the new wheelset. Although one may question a lowering of a pickup again and again, the same applies, however, for a body kit or a sports exhaust system. Alright, yes, yes!

Rotiform or LD97 forged?

Information on the way of lowering is not known to us at the moment, but it is very likely that - as always - an Airride air suspension installed. This is the only way to explain the extreme lowering of the off-roader. And then there is the huge wheelset. However, we currently have no information on this either. However, we include the drop-center aluminum rim in the repertoire of the manufacturer Rotiform. On the other hand, the Pandem Titan also received an LD97 forged lettering on the rear. However, this rim cannot really be found on the LD97 website. Anyway, one of the providers will probably be responsible for the Alus ^^.

Offroad tires from Toyo Tires

Incidentally, the wheelset is equipped with Offroad tires from Toyo Tires and in particular the silver-gray finish of the rims fits perfectly with the white body as we find it. In addition to the recently presented Pandem Supra widebody The Titan is at least as spectacular and another figurehead of Kei Miura. In addition he was one of the stars on the SEMA in LA If we receive timely information on further changes not mentioned so far there is of course as always an update for this report.
