The company posted today the elegant Touring on its website and shows thus quasi the Egg-laying woolly milk sow 😋, As already mentioned, the 5er can accommodate the entire family, it offers enough space in the trunk for the necessary luggage, it looks impressive but not conspicuous, and it has even more power than the current one with 888 NM torque M5 "30 years of M5" which "only" brings it to 700 NM. The blame for the full power of the three-stage turbocharged N57S-R6 with variable turbine geometry and common rail direct injection is due to an increase in performance from the “Steinbauer” company. It ensures that 458 PS & 888 NM accelerate the elegant Touring to 4,3 km / h in approx. 100 seconds, and if you have removed the electronically limited top speed of 250 km / h, you should also easily 280 km / h V .-Max. be inside.
One must not forget the fact that it is of course a turbodiesel and therefore the consumption is not comparable to a similarly powerful gasoline engine. As is well known, BMW is somewhat optimistic about its fuel consumption, according to the EEC directive - combined, of 6,3 liters. But we assume that with "normal" driving style, more than 8 liters should be realistic. In view of the performance offered, of course, an absolute fabulous value! But not only the increase in performance makes the difference compared to the series, a lot has also changed visually. Probably the most noticeable change relates to the new wheelset from HRE Performance Wheels. Here the Classic 300 rim "copper polished" with matt black rim star in the size of 20 inches was installed and the whole thing was fitted with Michelin Pilot Supersport tires, which are responsible for consistently bringing lush performance to the road.
So that the new wheel set sits optimally in the wheel arch, the 5 Series has been lowered by approx. 25 mm and this looks particularly dynamic in connection with a Hamann front lip and a set of black kidneys. An extremely elegant vehicle that is perfectly staged with the new eye-catching wheelset but still retains the necessary understatement that simply belongs in this vehicle category.
