The US tuning company PaxPower has presented their latest off-road packages for the current Chevrolet Silverado. The ZR2 Bison model, which is already suitable for bad roads, can also be equipped with a few upgrades. This turns the workhorse into a real opponent for off-road pickups with powerful power under the hood, as we know them from Ford or RAM. Raptor and TRX fans will surely be mouth-watering when they learn about the extreme off-road truck created by Pax Power based on Chevrolet. We would like to introduce you to the automotive giant, which is actually completely out of date.
There are different variants to choose from!
The standard version of Jackalkits that fit any current generation short bed crew cab model features massive fender flares on. These ensure that the trolley grows a full 8 inches (approx. 20 cm) in width. An air scoop and custom bumpers are also part of the Pax Power repertoire. There is also an off-road variant of the kit that increases the track width by a whopping 6 inches (approx. 15 cm) and also a Höherlegung by 2,5 inches (approx. 6,35 cm) included. Furthermore, just like other off-road conversions, there are adjustable dampers, which ensure that the off-road capability and modifiability are as high as possible. In addition, progressive leaf springs from Deaver ensure that more spring travel is achieved.
Powerful 35 or 37-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires mounted on 17-inch off-road rims complete the off-road package. Last but not least, there is a Borla stainless steel exhaust system on the vehicle, which has two tailpipes. For extreme expeditions, there are additional accessories such as LED position lights, a fixed tonneau for the platform, running boards or an electronic one winch. There are hardly any limits for the inclined off-road fan. The package starts at $19.950 when ordered for a Silverado ZR2 Bison, but costs a whopping $24.950 for the less-equipped base versions of the US truck.
Compressor kit gives the US giant wings!
PaxPower Of course, not only took on the equipment of the Silverado, but also the drive. Out came a Compressor kit, which uses a 3-liter compressor to provide a maximum of 650 HP and an insane 885 Newton meters of maximum torque. The 6,2-liter V8 petrol engine is already a befitting engine, but with the supercharger set, the Silverado becomes a veritable Raptor and TRX opponent. Unfortunately, we have no information on the performance, nor on the top speed.
Our conclusion:
- It's nice that there are still such supercharger kits for large-volume petrol engines, even if they are superfluous from a rational point of view. Nevertheless, many US car fans are delighted with it, and hopefully it will remain so for a long time to come, because, as is well known, there is no substitute for performance. except for even more performance! If we get more information, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply do ours Feed subscribe to.
