JE Design expands the range of accessories for Cupra Formentor

The Cupra tuner from Leingarten recently presented its first aerodynamic components for the Formentor with its wide body kit called WIDEBODY. Now the Swabians are stepping up and presenting a more discreet kit. This body kit is called "STREET RACE" and can be installed with significantly less effort. The parts are already supplied with a glossy black surface finish, which makes painting superfluous. But of course the add-on parts can also be painted in the vehicle color or a contrasting color. The kit consists of a two-part front spoiler, front and rear fender trims and a two-part roof spoiler. All components can of course also be installed individually.

The two-part front spoiler fits perfectly into the overall look of the sporty SUV coupe thanks to its shape and glossy black surface. The design takes up the lines of the bumper and at the same time provides a little more downforce on the front axle. In order to give the side view of the Cupra a plus in aggressiveness and dynamism, JE DESIGN has developed air outlet covers for the front and rear fenders. However, these have no function, but are only installed for optical reasons. At the rear of the vehicle, the two-part roof spoiler rounds off the discreet, sporty look of the kit. Like all other parts, this component also comes with the aforementioned surface finish and thus fits perfectly with the parts already installed in the factory in gloss black.

  • 8-piece Street Race Kit with a glossy black surface finish
  • Matching wheel-tire combinations in 19, 20 and 21 inches
  • Performance increase on 373 PS
  • Flap exhaust system and lowering

From now on, 8 x 20 large JE DESIGN Lucca rims rotate in the wheelhouses, with tires of size 245/35 R 20. These rims are available in 3 colors, black gloss and black gloss / front polished as well as the variant "Copper-R" . Alternatively, the JE DESIGN Cádiz wheel in 8.5 x 20 ET 38 and 245/35 R 20 tires can be installed. The Cádiz wheel is only available in "Copper-R". This variant, with the black silk matt surface and the copper finish, goes perfectly with the copper-colored applications on the current Cupra models. Both rims can be easily installed on vehicles with the 370 mm Brembo brake system and have an ABE.

JE DESIGN also has other wheel designs in 19, 20 and 21 inches in its repertoire.

The tuning specialists from Leingarten also install lowering springs with a depth of approx. 30 or 50 mm so that the wheels are clean in the wheel arches. The whole thing in connection with the original shock absorbers. The factory DCC remains fully functional. For a sportier sound, JE DESIGN installs its flap exhaust system with 4 black, oval tailpipes in 106 x 71 mm. This means that the system fits perfectly with the original rear apron. The flaps are controlled via the standard driving profile selection. Both in Cupra and in sport mode, the flap ensures a robust sound. In comfort mode, relaxed travel is the order of the day. The more in sound and optics, of course, also requires more performance. JE DESIGN installs an additional control unit here, which was specially developed for the 310 hp version of the Cupra Formentor.

373 PS (274 KW) and 487 NM (series 400 NM)

Thus, the power increases to an impressive 373 PS (274 KW) and the torque is now 487 NM (series 400 NM). Of course, this also has a corresponding effect on the driving performance. While the top speed is still limited to 250 km / h, acceleration and pulling power improve considerably. The JE DESIGN Cupra Formentor now manages the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 4,4 seconds (series 4,9 seconds). A 3-year engine guarantee up to 100.000 km is included. Wheels, chassis and optics are available for all engine variants, flap exhaust and performance enhancement are currently reserved for the 310 hp version. For a trouble-free entry, corresponding parts certificates or EC approval (flap exhaust) are included for all parts.
