Can you still remember ours? Post Remember the Piecha Design Avalange RS body kit for the Mercedes-Benz SL R230? The R129 successor was built for an eternal 11 years and the new model in the form of the R2012 only came in 231. And this 231 model recently got a facelift that includes a new nose and a more powerful V6 engine. Since the facelift, the basic SL has been the SL400 with a revised six-cylinder and 367 hp for at least 99.097,25 euros. Visually, however, the innovations are limited. Newly designed headlights in AMG GT style and the aforementioned modified apron with large air inlets already form the most obvious external changes to the FL SL. Apparently not enough for the tuner Piecha Design from Rottweil in Baden-Württemberg. The company offers for the lifted R231 (and the VFL) for some time that is the Avalange GT-R Bodykit to the SL in just the right places discreetly highlights.
Avalange GT-R Bodykit
The Avalange GT-R aerodynamic package consists of a new front section with significantly larger air inlets in the front bumper. In addition, there are so-called air blades on this bumper including integrated LED daytime running lights and side air inlets as well as a spoiler lip as the lowest point on the front. The large side skirts are also part of the GT-R package and can optionally be expanded with LED lighting. There were also extended side fins on the front fenders, larger aerowings on the bonnet and a new rear bumper including a diffuser that surrounds the double trapezoidal exhaust trims of the stainless steel sports exhaust system. A highlight at the rear is definitely the LED reversing light with integrated rear fog light and the discreet, but still unmistakable, rear spoiler lip. Piecha also offers a variety of optional options for the SL. Regardless of whether it is 20 inch aluminum rims in different colors, a roof module for the Vario roof operation or a lowering by means of sport springs (optional adjustment of the electronics of the air suspension), whoever wants can completely transform the SL with Piecha Parts. The tuner already released the SL in June and we say "sorry“That we only show it to you today. So if you have been secretly thinking about buying a current SL for a long time, or if you are already a happy owner, Piecha Design is definitely an interesting starting point when it comes to individually differentiating the luxury convertible from the production model.
