1971 Plymouth GTX Style based on Dodge Challenger!

Who has always been a big fan of the brand Plymouth was, and in particular the iconic Plymouth GTX, this one-of-a-kind could be something for him. The special copy is based on a 2010 Dodge Challenger and was from Steve Mirabelli from Hendrick Motorsports completely rebuilt and modified to look like a modern interpretation of the Plymouth GTX looks. As far as we know, the construction time was 4 years and the project started in 2017 with one vehicle that was a "total loss". An accident with a deer in 2013 and another minor damage in January 2017 and later even fire damage sealed the front right actually the end of the challenger. But not for Steve Mirabelli from Hendrick Motorsports, who has a comprehensive restoration process in 2021, which gave the vehicle the title "Reconstructed and rebuilt“ received.

And the build didn't happen as a Dodge Challenger, but as an interpretation of the Plymouth GTX, with custom made sheet metal work all around, a specially made one front apron with integrated Fog lights and front spoiler and even with very special ones headlights and tail lights. In addition, the body is in Tangelo Orange painted and with a matching matte black one bonnet and two fat Strip fitted over the fenders. At the wheelset the builder decided on chrome-plated 20 inches Five-spoke Coys rims, which are fitted with 275/40 Nitto rubber at the front and 315/35 tires at the rear. For a subtle Lowering there were Eibach lowering springs and the conversion is slowed down with one sports brake system with red Brembo brake calipers and with slotted brake discs. And under the hood? There sits one 5,7 liter Hemi V8, who has his power over a Five-speed automatic to Rear wheels brings.

various changes in the cabin

And also Interior there were changes. And in the form of white Katzkin leather seats with orange-colored seams, which are optically consciously based on the outside. Countless details such as those painted in the color of the vehicle Engine cover, the open one Air Filter, the little one spoiler on the tailgate, the special one filler cap, the page marks or the GTX lettering successfully complete the conversion.
