The Pontiac Solstice was GM's attempt to build a cool roadster to match the Mazda MX-5 (Miata). But neither the standard model nor the performance model GXP managed to do that. In particular, the meager performance was a major point of criticism. But this 2006 Pontiac Solstice from Mallett performance as a SEMA show car is different. The vehicle is currently for sale on eBay and has a LS2-V8 under the hood. And it wouldn't be a SEMA vehicle without one to match bodykit. So you installed one bonnet with two air vents, there was one spoiler on the tailgate and also the front and rear apron is new.
Pontiac Solstice unique
There were also additional ones at the front LED lights and the conspicuous rounds are missing at the back additional lights. The body of the Solstice is factory color Aspen White painted and there are also striking blue ones racing stripes on the Pontiac. One was installed in the interior Hurst gear lever and white Instruments and in addition, the seats with light brown leather and blue Suede covered. But the highlight is under the hood. And in the form of one 6.0 liter LS2-V8 from a Pontiac GTO with 406 PS and 542 Nm torque. Compared to the series with 179 PS / 132 kW and 225 Nm torque from its 2,4-liter in-line four-cylinder that is of course a huge leap.
with 6.0 LS2 V8 engine
With the new engine, the key data have more or less doubled in every respect. Incidentally, the engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and he has continued rear-wheel drive. Other changes are one LUK Pro Gold clutch, Corsa exhaust, a SSBC braking system with blue saddles, Budnik 20 inch rims and one tuned by Mallett Suspension. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
